Democracy club would like to congratulate all the newly elected student leader for the year 2024-2025.

Election Day.
On 5th September, Democracy club successfully conducted election for Vice captain of 2024. The voting time of the day started from 9:45 am and ended in 12:45 pm. There was 95% voter turnout.
The main aim of election day:
I) Practicing Democratic Principles: School elections serve as a practical example of democratic principles like fairness, equality, and the right to voice opinions, providing a foundation for understanding how democracy works in broader society.
II) Providing a Platform for Student Voice: Elections give students a chance to express their opinions and advocate for issues that matter to them, ensuring that their voices are heard in school governance.
III) Encouraging Civic Engagement: By participating in elections, students learn about democratic processes and the importance of civic participation. This helps instill values of responsibility and engagement in their community

Democracy club is delighted to be a major part of this event, election day of Darla HSS. Moreover, club members were happy to have gained knowledge and experience on real-election process. Therefore, we would like to thank each and everyone who were engaged in this election event and made it a wonderful journey.
Thus, the day concluded with lunch program among democracy club.

Democracy club would like thank the Guest speaker, Mr. Karma Chophel for sharing important theoretical insight into election and voting process.
The main aims of the session was to ;
1) Enhance the understanding of electoral process, including voting systems, candidate selection, and the importance of participation.

2) Encourage civic engagement; inspire students to become active participants in their democracy, emphasizing the impact of voting and civic responsibility.
