Good Evening ASL parents,

It’s that time of the year again!

Sign language will begin on Wednesday October 8th.

We will continue to enhance conversational skills and knowledge as well as explore sign language and emotion through signing and dancing.

Class time- 3:15-4:00.

Please let me know if you’re interested in sign language this year.

Class will be held at The Children’s Place.

Cost : $40 per month

Come learn some Sign Language through bible stories, games & fun activities . All are welcome kids,teens & adults. Its FREE!

American Sign Language (ASL) is a visual language. With signing, the brain processes linguistic information through the eyes. The shape, placement, and movement of the hands, as well as facial expressions and body movements, all play important parts in conveying information.

Studies show long term cognitive benefits such as :

- muscle memory involved, and the more senses involved in learning, the greater memory retention the child will have

- Improves attentiveness to social gestures of others as well as of themselves

-Larger speaking vocabulary and ability to form longer sentences

-Earlier reading and larger reading vocabulary

- Better grades in school.
