🧡 World Su***de Prevention Day 🧡
Today, September 10th, Preston H. Albury High School joins the global community in recognizing World Su***de Prevention Day. This day reminds us of the importance of creating a school environment where every student, teacher, and staff member feels seen, heard, supported, and valued.

Sometimes, one conversation can make a difference. A listening ear, a kind word, checking in on someone, or simply reminding a person that they are not alone can offer hope when it is needed most. As a school family, we encourage everyone to start the conversation, speak with compassion, listen without judgment, and reach out for help when life feels overwhelming.

Today, we wear ORANGE 🧡 to show our support, raise awareness, and stand together for hope.
You matter. Your life matters. Your story matters.
Small conversations can make a BIG difference. 🧡

Preston H. Albury High School is extremely proud to recognize our 10th grade students, Frank Lafrance and Nakiah Carey, who were selected by the Lyford Cay Foundation to represent our school at the Family Island Leadership Program held in New Providence from July 19th–25th, 2026.
Throughout this exciting week, Frank and Nikiah had the opportunity to step beyond the classroom and participate in a variety of enriching experiences designed to strengthen their leadership skills, confidence, teamwork, communication, personal development, and career awareness. They engaged in interactive leadership sessions and team-building activities, connected with other outstanding students from Family Island schools, explored educational and career opportunities, and gained valuable insight into the importance of setting goals, making responsible decisions, and becoming positive contributors to their schools and communities.
We extend sincere gratitude to the Lyford Cay Foundation for investing in the development of young people throughout our Family Islands and for providing Frank and Nikiah with such a meaningful and memorable opportunity.
Congratulations, Frank and Nikiah! We are proud of the way you represented Preston H. Albury High School and Eleuthera. Continue to lead with confidence, purpose, integrity, and excellence. Your leadership journey is only beginning!
