National Committee to Honour and Commemorate
Pastors Myles and Ruth Munroe

Petitioning The Government of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas

WE the undersigned do hereby Petition the Government of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas (“The Bahamas”) for the dividing and renaming of Carmichael Road on the Island of New Providence, to the proposed name, Myles Munroe Highway; effective from Blue Hill Road to Faith Avenue, and the name Carmichael Road from Faith Avenue all the way to the Coral Harbor round about, in honour of and in commemoration of the stellar life and accomplishments of the Late Dr. Myles Munroe.

Therefore:

WHEREAS the contribution of the Late Dr. Myles Munroe to nation building in the fields of Religion and Civics and Leadership and self development is globally legendary;

AND WHEREAS the Late Dr. Myles Munroe has over many years established a modern multi- faceted international ministry under the name and style of Bahamas Faith Ministries International, located prominently on the said Carmichael Road;

AND WHEREAS the Late Dr. Myles Munroe and Bahamas Faith Ministries International through their local programs, international evangelization, dynamic teachings on potential, purpose, vision, leadership and the Kingdom and cultural outreach, have positively impacted The Bahamas and numerous nations worldwide from the Carmichael Road location;

AND WHEREAS the Late Dr. Myles Munroe brought positive recognition and esteem to The Bahamas as a global ambassador and always promoted The Bahamas as a preferred tourism destination including encouraging thousands of persons to visit The Bahamas for international conferences and popularizing the phrase “The Bahamas - the place where God lives”;

AND WHEREAS we the undersigned determine that the dividing and renaming of the said Carmichael Road in the Late Dr. Myles Munroe’s honor will be a most fitting, permanent way to honour his memory;

NOW THEREFORE be it resolved, that we the citizens of our Commonwealth, give our consent and full support to this national effort by affixing our signatures hereto:
