This past Tuesday, our school community gathered for a deeply moving appreciation service to honor our departing high school principal, Rev. Dr. Perry R. Cunningham. It was a morning filled with gratitude, reflection, and celebration for his many years of distinguished service and unwavering dedication to Temple Christian School.

The service was a beautiful testament to the profound impact that Rev. Dr. Cunningham has had on all of us. We were honored to welcome a wonderful turnout, including:

• His loving family
• Officials from the Ministry of Education
• Chairman and Directors of the School Board
• Colleagues from the Bahamas Association of Independent Secondary Schools (BAISS)
• Our dedicated parents, administrators, faculty, staff, and students

From heartfelt tributes to inspiring musical selections, the event perfectly captured the spirit of leadership, faith, and excellence that Rev. Dr. Cunningham has championed throughout his remarkable tenure.

Congratulations Laila-Skye Outten! - Saturday, May 23, 2026 – The Temple Christian School Family celebrates our very own Laila-Skye Outten, who placed 16th out of 123 nominees that took part in today’s Student of the Year Ceremony held at Bahamas Faith Ministries International. She has received a $3000 scholarship and a new laptop. The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation highlights the brightest and best students within the nation. We are indeed proud of you Laila-Skye!!!

Teachers’ Appreciation All-School Chapel – May 7, 2026 – Students from K3 through Grades 12 came together to celebrate the hardworking teachers at Temple Christian School. Students presented a variety of special selections under the theme – “Called to Teach, Chosen to Shape Lives”. Rev. Yrielle Belizaire of Evangelistic Temple’s Evangelism Ministry inspired teachers to not just teach, but to use every opportunity to impact the lives the children because they have been called by God. Teachers words cannot express our love and appreciation for the work that you do in the lives of students here at Temple Christian School. Enjoy photos from today's ceremony. Principal’s Appreciation Day – Friday, May 1, 2026 - The students of Grade 4 Dorilien and Grade 2 Burrows conducted today’s chapel under the theme “Growing in Christ” . Students took time to honor Principal Sharmaine Porter and Vice Principal Theodora Fernander with acronyms, special selections and much more. A special thank you is extended to all who took the time to make this Principal’s Day ever so special.

Stop For a Moment and Realize How Much You Are Love – On Thursday, April 30, 2026 students had Principal Sharmaine Porter to be seated as her favorite gospel song was played over the PA system. Representatives from K3 through Grade 6 took to the microphone to share their words of love and appreciation. She was also given an arrangement of her favorite things.
