The National Museum of The Bahamas’ Director Don Cornish had the distinct pleasure of being invited by the Ambassador of the United States of America Herschel Walker to the Memorial Day wreath laying ceremony that was held at the Clifton Memorial. Also in attendance was The Minister of National Security, The Honourable Myles LaRoda.

This solemn occasion was dedicated to honoring and remembering the lives, sacrifices, and enduring legacy of those who have made significant contributions to the Bahamas’ and the United States America’s history and heritage. The soldiers remembered during this service were the twenty three members of the U.S. Navy Patrol Squadron, who died off the coast of New Providence (1954), Bahamian Sergeant Errol McKinney U.S. Army (2013) and Bahamian Private First Class Norman U.S. Army Darling (2004).

May Their Souls Rest in Peace 🇧🇸🇺🇸
