A trip to the grocery store and a $5 concert! Why not?

"Don't worry, bout a thing..."

When it only takes 5 minutes to get there, why not?

There are a few things I am working on, which are taking my life in a completely different path than I expected.

It wasn't until I completely released it all to God and stopped trying to figure out where I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to have and by when, did I find peace with it all.

No matter how hard and exhausting the climb, the journey became bearable and enjoyable.

This verse embedded itself it my heart this morning and will stay with me daily.

So, I have a very aggressive potcake dog. He'd be sound asleep upstairs with me and would suddenly jump up, aggressively and try to burst through the balcony door.

Why? Some spidy sense he has alerted him that there was a cat somewhere in the yard...HOW does he know?

To avoid the barking inside and banging on the balcony door, I opened to let him out.

The funniest thing is that this cat didn't give a second of attention to the aggressive barking. He sat on the wall, enjoyed a scratch, then politely took a stroll through our yard....unshaken.

That's how I want to go through life...unbothered, unshaken, undisturbed by the noise, the anger, the rage, the miserable existence of others who have no real reason for being that way.

The fridge isn't always full and stocked like it used to be.

Things have changed. I have changed. I'm learning to make the BEST with what I have and to forget about anything I may have lost and not focus on what I do not have.

I'm learning that transitioning into a different/better way of living comes with many challenges and obstacles...all of which will be insignificant when the tides turn in my favour...and they will!

Well, as I looked in an almost empty freezer to make Sunday dinner for my son and me, there was a pack of chicken wings and a small pack of ground beef.

In the fridge, there were some salad greens and a bin with about 3 cups of spinach, and some potatoes.

I decided I would make the BEST fried wings ever and some half mashed potatoes. Well I loaded those potatoes with the spinach and seasoned well with lots of garlic. I sauteed 1/2 onion to go over the top.

The wings were crispy fried and delicious. It may have been less than $12 for the ingredients but it made 4 servings and my son sent a message later that made the effort worth it.

"Food was phenomenal. Thanks"

Whatever you do, do it with love, pride and excellence and always make the best of whatever you have.

Blessings
