Strong foundations start in the early years.
At King’s College, The Bahamas, our Early Learning School is designed to help every child feel confident, cared for and ready to grow. During these important first years, children develop the skills, curiosity and independence that shape the way they learn for life.
Through nurturing guidance, personalised support and engaging learning experiences, we help our youngest pupils build confidence, discover their abilities and take their first steps towards a lifelong love of learning.
Because when children feel supported from the very beginning, there is no limit to what they can achieve.

Learning beyond the classroom 🌍
This week, Year 4 took action for our planet with a beach clean-up at Jaws Beach, following their Earth Day discussions and learning about renewable energy.
The children showed wonderful enthusiasm, teamwork and determination as they worked together to make a real difference in their local environment. It was inspiring to see them put their ideas into action and take responsibility for caring for the world around them.
A brilliant example of learning with purpose!

Our Year 4 pupils had a brilliant time taking part in a fun and fast-paced Speed Mummy Challenge, where teamwork, creativity and quick thinking were put to the test. Working in groups, the children had just two minutes to carefully “mummify” one member of their team — with plenty of laughter along the way!
The learning didn’t stop there. Pupils then stepped into the role of Achillas, an ancient Egyptian mummy-maker, writing thoughtful explanations about why Egyptians made mummies, how the mummification process worked, and the important role of canopic jars in protecting organs for the afterlife.
A wonderful example of hands-on learning, bringing history, writing and collaboration together in the classroom.

Generalist or specialist? Why not both?
In her recent assembly, Ms Holmes explored one of the biggest questions young people face today: should we focus on one path, or allow ourselves to explore many?
Through inspiring real-world stories, pupils were reminded that curiosity, creativity and a wide range of interests are never wasted. In fact, some of the world’s greatest achievers changed the world because they dared to think broadly, connect ideas and follow more than one passion.
For every student still discovering their path: your many interests might not be a distraction — they might just be your superpower.
