Today, 27 May, the St Cecilia’s School community gathered for a retirement Mass in honour of Mrs. Colajean Butler, Religion Teacher. Mrs. Butler is retiring after 24 years of service to Catholic education.
Mrs. Butler, we are truly grateful for your dedication and for the many young lives you have influenced. As you begin this new chapter, we pray that God’s blessings be upon you. We wish you a happy and fulfilling retirement. Happy Retirement!

Candace Bodie, a 12th-grade student at Aquinas College, talks about her Electronics project. She completed her BGCSE Electrical Installation in grade 11. Now, in grade 12, she is taking Electronics with Programming, which uses the Arduino platform. This course gives students practical experience by letting them build real technical projects.

Sts. Francis & Joseph School recently celebrated its annual Numeracy Day, a much-anticipated highlight on the SFJ calendar. Designed to shine a spotlight on the value of numeracy skills, the day featured a lively assembly, an impressive showcase of student projects, a colouring competition and energetic outdoor games. These activities aimed to build students' confidence with numbers. The festivities were made even more memorable by a special performance from guest entertainer Julian Believe.

Aquinas College congratulates Kylah Taylor on her achievement in winning the 2026 Zonta Club Essay Competition. Kylah will participate in the upcoming United Nations assembly in September as a representative of the Bahamian Delegation, accompanied by the Zonta Club, Mrs. Bain and The Hon. Fred Mitchell. We also congratulate Bria Beneby, who placed second in the same competition.
A special commendation is hereby extended to Mrs. Paulene Bain, the Head of the Language Department, who consistently ensures the participation of her students in the Zonta Club's Essay Competition. Over the course of twelve years, Aquinas College has secured first place in this competition on eight occasions. We wish to express our commendation to Mrs. Bain for her exemplary leadership; this marks the fourth consecutive victory achieved by her students.
