DIGNITY GARDENS DRUG BUST: A 39-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman were arrested late Tuesday night after police seized a quantity of suspected ma*****na during an Operation Black Scorpion raid.

Around 11:00 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Dignity Gardens off Carmichael Road. Three packages of suspected ma*****na were found inside the home, while a search of a Ford F-150 on the property uncovered a larger quantity of suspected hydroponic ma*****na.

The drugs weigh approximately 11.5 pounds with an estimated street value of $23,440. Investigations continue.

An employee at a Massachusetts cannabis production facility died earlier this year from inhaling cannabis dust while working, according to a preliminary inspection report from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
