Celebrating three events: Thanksgiving, Prefect Installation and Awards Ceremony!

On Thursday, November 27th, 2025 the staff and students of Cherokee Sound Primary celebrated the installation of prefects, students with a GPA of 3.0 and above, and had a great Thanksgiving luncheon that fed many elders in the community. The two eldest persons in the community received basket items. It was a great, eventful day!

Success in Science!
On November 20th, 2025, Cherokee Sound Primary participated in the Friends of the Environment Science Fair under the theme: Science, Sustainability and the Queen Conch.

Both upper and lower primary placed in third place! Congratulations to our students for their hard work!

On November 12th, 2025, Jake Simmons represented Cherokee Sound Primary at the Religious Studies Month speech competition under the theme: Shine for Jesus!
We are proud of his hard work and for representing our school so well!

Cherokee Sound Primary's annual Youth month church service:

On October 12th, 2025 the students and staff of Cherokee Sound Primary attended an inspiring church service at the Cherokee Sound Assemblies of God church.

On the same day, four of our students were honored at the Abaco District's Youth month service at New Vision church.

Our Youth month activities: Walk-athon and feeding the elderly!

On October 31st, 2025, the students, staff, and parents of Cherokee Sound Primary participated in walk-athon for breast cancer awareness.

Students, staff and parents also went out throughout the community to give soup to the elderly and sing songs with them.

These were great activities that brought awareness to our youth, along with teaching them to give back.

(If you spot some creative hairstyles, it was wacky hair day too!)

Cherokee Sound Primary's Prayer and Praise Breakfast 2025 !

In recognition of October being youth month, Cherokee Sound Primary had its annual prayer and praise breakfast on Friday, October 10th, 2025. Students, staff, parents, special guests and other persons from the community joined together to pray, worship, and eat breakfast together.

"Believe and You Will Achieve It" was the inspiring theme for Cherokee Sound Primary’s Awards Ceremony held on June 12th, 2025.

Students were recognized for their hard work and dedication throughout the 2024–2025 school year.

In addition to student achievements, fathers were honored, along with parents and staff members, for their continued support and commitment.

Happy Easter!
On Friday, April 11th, the students, staff, and parents of Cherokee Sound Primary celebrated Easter with a fun-filled party on the Long Dock! The day was packed with excitement, including an Easter egg hunt, sandcastle building competitions, delicious grilled food, and plenty of splashing fun in the sea!

On Thursday, April 10th, the students of Cherokee Sound Primary enjoyed a fun and educational trip to the Abaco Neem farm! They explored a variety of plants, discovered the amazing benefits of the Neem tree, and experienced nature up close. It was a plant-tastic adventure!

On Thursday, March 27th, Agape Family Dental Care visited our school to share some bright smiles and helpful tips! They gave fun and informative demonstrations on dental care, handed out teeth care kits, and even sang a catchy song about brushing your teeth!

On March 28th, 2025, the students of Cherokee Sound Primary brought their energy and excitement to Sports Day! From the egg and spoon race to the potato sack and running events, everyone had a blast competing and cheering each other on!
