Rogers VCD/Multimedia Design

On 10/26/2021, VCD Seniors Dante' Rome and Jaylen Brake were in attendance at the Roger's Tree Planting Ceremony. Special thanks to The Reynolds Corner Rotary Club for donating the tree to beautify our school!

The tree was named in memory of Stephon Johnson who passed away earlier this year.

The first design challenge for VCD 1 students was to create a Rogers Career Tech t-shirt design in collaboration with Mr. Jose Rosales.
Shawn Coleman, Pharrell House, and Latayvia Anderson (not pictured) worked together to create a design. They liked theirs so much that they heat-pressed it onto shirts to proudly wear around the building!

The VCD/Multimedia Design 2 students have accepted leadership roles in our student organization, Business Professionals of America (BPA).

Students in Mr. Brown and Mrs. Hereford's VCD/Multimedia Design classes created designed that will be entered in the Ohio BPA competition. The local winners were:

Mr. Brown:
Pin Design - Jaidyn H.
TShirt Design - Shawn C.
Medal - Noah N.

Honorable Mentions/Student selected winners:

Students had to design a pin that included the words "Ohio" and "2022". The pins needed to incorporate the theme "Go Beyond Your Limits" and follow the rules and principles of design.

Students in Mr. Brown and Mrs. Hereford's VCD/Multimedia Design classes signed up for the Harbor Y.E.S. program. Thanks to Miss Laura and Miss Rachel for helping us through the process. This program works to help our students prepare to be Business Professionals of America (BPA). We will complete various lessons and the students will have the opportunity to earn payments for some of their accomplishments along the way.
