Some people start as part of your team and become part of your life. 🤍
Larissa was the first teacher to join me in 2022, and over time, she became so much more than just an English teacher in the US. She is the longest-standing teacher in our school, has been with some of our oldest students, and has helped shape part of this story with so much care, consistency, and heart. She is not only an excellent professional, but also one of the most caring, thoughtful, loyal, and genuine people I know.

Larissa is the kind of person who brings warmth wherever she goes. She cares deeply about her students, takes her work seriously, and, at the same time, has a light, kind, and beautiful way of being. She is someone I trust, admire, and feel truly lucky to have in my life and in this school.

We first met in person in 2024 in New York, and now in 2026, here we are again at the Jersey Shore. Looking at these pictures makes me feel so grateful for the people this journey has brought into my life. Yesterday was full of laughter, catching up, and the kind of joy that reminds me that behind every working team, there are real relationships, real trust, and really special people.

So thankful for you, Lari. 🤍

You can practice while walking, observing, reading signs, noticing vocabulary, and describing the world around you.

That is one of the best ways to make English feel natural.
Not just something you study. Something you use.

In this video, you’ll see a trail, a bird and birdhouse, an airplane in the sky, a field, a lake with trees, a warning sign, another lake, and a bicycle repair station in the park — all simple things you can use to practice describing what you see in English.
