🇵🇭 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐘 𝐀𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐍𝐎 🇵🇭

Today, we commemorate 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒚 𝑨𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒐 𝑫𝒂𝒚 in honor of 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨 “𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲” 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫., one of the most prominent figures in the struggle for democracy in the Philippines.

A journalist, senator, and staunch critic of the Marcos dictatorship, Ninoy stood firmly for democracy and the freedom of the Filipino people. Despite years of imprisonment and exile, he continued to speak out for the country he loved. On August 21, 1983, he was assassinated upon his return to the Philippines, an event that became a turning point in the nation’s history and further inspired the movement for democracy.

Today, we remember not only his sacrifice, but also the courage and conviction he showed in standing for his principles.
