Here’s the ND (Navigation Display) Airbus A350, flying a visual approach with a 40 knot crosswind.(in the simulator) Practicing Visual Circuits in Crosswinds.

On the ND, we’re landing on runway 27 (at London Heathrow) which is aligned with 270° magnetic. The crosswind is from 180° at 42 knots, this gives us a Groundspeed of 133 knots and True Airspeed of 140. This 40 knot crosswind also gives a drift angle of 18°, this is the difference between the aircraft Heading and the Track. The ND also depicts a small yellow image of the aircraft relative to the green track and two white parallel lines depicting the runway.
