🤔 What’s the difference between Fingerstyle and Fingerpicking?

👉🏽 Fingerpicking is when you pluck the strings instead of strumming—sometimes in patterns, and sometimes more freely.

👉🏽 Fingerstyle includes fingerpicking, plus chord melody—where you play the melody and chords at the same time. This is what creates that beautiful “complete song” sound.

If you’ve ever felt confused by these terms, you’re not alone. They get used interchangeably all the time!

So in this program, we’re going to explore BOTH—using the term fingerstyle to bring it all together.

We’ll start with a solid foundation so everything feels clear and manageable:

✅ Month 1: TABs Review, Rhythm Basics, Melodies
✅ Month 2: Chord Melodies that sound impressive—even as a beginner
✅ Month 3: More fingerpicking patterns + applying them to songs you already know
✅ Month 4: Exploring slides, hammer-ons, and pull-offs in more depth

By the end of the 4 months, you’ll have learned beginner-friendly arrangements of: The Sound of Silence, Ave Maria, The Water Is Wide, and more.
