Many parents hear this… and quickly step in.

Because we care.
We want to help our child get it right.

But in that small moment, something important is happening.

Your child is learning:
👉 Do I try first… or do I wait for help?

“I don’t know” doesn’t always mean they can’t.

Sometimes it means:
“I’m not sure yet.”
“I’m afraid to make a mistake.”

So instead of answering straight away…
pause for a moment.

Gently guide them to:
• think
• try
• take one small step

Even a small attempt matters.

Because confidence doesn’t come from being told.

It grows when a child realises:
👉 “I tried… and I can do it.”
