ISB Alumni

Artist and entrepreneur Lilian Marie Heng, an alumna of ISB’s Class of 2013 and Founder of Le’Petit Art Supplies and Co-Owner of Rhythmic Arts Sdn Bhd, painted the mural for ISB’s musical production, Around the World in 80 Days. Lilian has also created mural paintings for previous ISB productions.

We were delighted to welcome Ahmad Shufiady, our alumnus from the Class of 2025, back to ISB on Monday 26th January to deliver a presentation to our current sixth form students about applying for Bruneian scholarships. He gave an introduction into the different agencies that provide scholarships to study abroad and advice of how to stay ahead in the selection process which was invaluable to our Y13 students who have just started their scholarship applications. Ahmad was offered the BSJV Shell scholarship, MoE scholarship and Sultan’s scholarship in 2025 so had a wealth of knowledge to share. Thank you so much to Ahmad for generously sharing his time and advice – we wish him all the best for starting his Mathematics and Statistics degree at the University of Melbourne in the coming weeks!

Two ISB alumni - UWA student Nathan Wee and Curtin University student Dawn Simanjuntak - recently returned to ISB for a lunchtime dialogue with International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme students.

During the session, the alumni shared their experiences and reflections with the students, while also reminiscing about times past.

Haji Mohammad Zulfan Farhi Bin Haji Sulaini, an alumnus of ISB’s Class of 2016, is the Founder of Joint Initiative for the Wellbeing of All (JIWA) and a recipient of the Excellent Project For Youth Award.
 

ISB alumnus Mr Fauzi Said, Senior Analyst for Carbon Management at Wood Mackenzie, was recently in the news.

According to an article in The Star, Fauzi has been recognised as making his mark on the regional stage as Brunei’s sole representative at the 2025 Young Leaders Dialogue hosted by the ASEAN-Australia Centre in Melbourne and Canberra.

He was selected from nearly 5,000 applicants, and joined 30 outstanding young leaders from across Southeast Asia and Australia in the prestigious programme, which is aimed at strengthening regional collaboration and leadership capacity.

Congratulations and well done to Fauzi on this significant achievement!
