Why I Started Abiregal Multilingual Academy 💙🌍

I didn't start Abiregal Multilingual Academy just to teach languages.

I started it because I believe where a child lives should not determine the quality of education they have access to.

Over the years, I've met and taught children with so much potential.

Children who were intelligent, curious, and capable—but sometimes lacked the right learning environment, guidance, or support.

And I've seen something beautiful happen when a child finally gets that support.

A child who once said, "I can't do it," begins to say, "Let me try."

A child who was afraid to speak starts raising their hand.

A child who struggled with a subject begins to understand it.

And slowly, their confidence begins to grow. ❤️

That is what Abiregal means to me.

Yes, we teach French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Igbo, English, coding, mathematics, and other academic subjects.

But beyond the lessons, we are helping children become confident learners, curious thinkers, and globally minded young people.

I want a child in Nigeria, Benin Republic, the UK, the US, or anywhere else in the world to have the opportunity to learn, grow, and discover what they are capable of.

That's why I care so much about making our lessons engaging, practical, interactive, and meaningful.

Because education is not just about completing a syllabus.

It's about transforming lives, one child at a time.

Teaching isn't just my profession.

It's my mission. 🌍💙

And every time I watch a child grow in confidence, I am reminded of why I started.

🇫🇷 One French Phrase Everyone Should Know

If you learn only one French phrase today, let it be this:

"Comment ça va ?" (koh-mahn sah vah?)

It simply means:

"How are you?"

This is one of the most common greetings you'll hear in French-speaking countries. Whether you're meeting a friend, a colleague, or even someone for the first time, it's a great phrase to know.

Here are a few ways to reply:

😊 Ça va bien. – I'm fine.
😃 Très bien. – Very well.
😐 Comme ci, comme ça. – So-so.
🙁 Ça ne va pas très bien. – I'm not doing very well.

A promising future can be destroyed by one terrible decision.

A 21-year-old Nigerian student-athlete studying in the United States has been arrested and charged with first-degree r**e following allegations made by a woman who visited his apartment.

According to reports, the woman said she went to his apartment to watch a movie, but he allegedly made unwanted sexual advances. She secretly texted her roommate for help, and when she stopped responding, the roommate contacted the police for a welfare check. Officers reportedly found the woman distressed, and authorities say she alleged she was sexually assaulted twice. The accused has denied using force.

A judge has denied him bail, and immigration officials reportedly stated that because his F-1 student visa had expired, he could face deportation proceedings if released.

If the allegations are proven in court, this is a heartbreaking reminder that success, talent, and opportunities mean nothing if we fail to respect another person's consent and dignity.

This case also reminds us that:

No means no.

Silence is not consent.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Every allegation deserves a fair legal process, and every accused person is entitled to due process until the court reaches a verdict.

To every young person studying abroad: your character is just as important as your academics or athletic ability.

Yesterday, our amazing Summer Camp students explored the beauty of Chinese 🇨🇳. They learned greetings, pronunciation, and discovered that learning a new language can be exciting and fun!

And today... ¡Hola! 🇪🇸🎉

Our classroom has come alive with Spanish as our young learners are confidently saying new words, practicing conversations, and enjoying interactive activities.

For the longest time, I've believed that many people in Porto-Novo preferred only physical lessons. Parents would often ask me to come to their homes to teach them or their children.

So I assumed online learning wasn't something people here were interested in.

Then, two days ago, a woman from my neighborhood reached out.

She said, "I want to learn English... but I want to learn online."

She explained that she's preparing to travel abroad, and because of her busy schedule, online classes are the best option for her. She wants to learn at the time that works for her—after her children have gone to bed and the house is quiet.

That conversation reminded me of something important:

Sometimes, people don't reject your idea. They just haven't seen how it can fit into their lives yet.

The more I consistently shared about my online classes, the more people began to realize that learning doesn't have to happen inside a classroom.

You can learn from your home.
You can learn after work.
You can learn after putting the children to sleep.
You can learn at a time that works for you.

Consistency changes perception.

If you've been thinking about improving your English, French, or another language but your schedule is always busy, don't let that stop you.

Learning can be flexible.

I used to think the biggest challenge of entrepreneurship was getting customers.

I was wrong.

The biggest mistake I made as a new entrepreneur was believing that having a great product was enough.

I spent so much time perfecting my services, creating programs, and making sure everything was "ready."

But I wasn't telling enough people about them.

I thought,
"If it's good, people will naturally come."

They didn't.

What I eventually learned is this:

💡 People cannot buy what they don't know exists.

Marketing isn't about making noise.
It's about consistently showing people how you can solve their problems.

Today, I spend just as much time talking about my work as I do creating it. And that simple shift has changed my business.

If you're starting a business, here's my advice:

✅ Don't wait until everything is perfect.
✅ Don't be afraid to talk about what you do.
✅ Keep showing up, even when the likes and views are low.
✅ Consistency builds trust, and trust leads to opportunities.

Every entrepreneur has made mistakes.
