The Junior Campus of The Indian School, Bahrain,(ISB) celebrated World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm, reaffirming its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of protecting nature and preserving the environment for future generations.

ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, EC Members and Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier congratulated the students for their enthusiastic participation and commitment to environmental stewardship.

The Indian School, Bahrain, delivered an outstanding performance in the CBSE Cluster Bahrain Chapter 2026–27 competitions, securing championship and runner-up positions across badminton, chess and basketball events.

Member-Sports Dr. Mohammed Faizal, Executive Committee Members, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Senior School &Academic Administration Vice- Principal G Satheesh and Physical Education HoD Sridhar Siva Samiayya congratulated the winners and coaches on their remarkable achievements and wished them continued success in future competitions.

Students of The Indian School, Bahrain (ISB) delivered an impressive performance at the BBSF–Powerjade Junior Bahrain Ranking Circuit 2, held from 29 to 31 May 2026 at Al Nasser Club, Juffair. The tournament, sanctioned by the Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation (BBSF), attracted some of the most talented junior badminton players from across the Kingdom.

Manama: As part of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations and the sporting activities planned for the current academic year, The Indian School, Bahrain, in association with Arjun’s Chess Academy, is set to organise the ISB@75 Chess Championship – 2nd Edition on 12 June 2026.

Following the remarkable success of last year’s championship, which recorded the highest participation in a chess event in Bahrain, this year’s edition promises to be larger, more competitive and more inclusive, bringing together young talent and chess enthusiasts from across the Kingdom. The tournament aims to promote strategic thinking, concentration, discipline, decision-making and sportsmanship through one of the world’s most intellectually stimulating games.

The championship will feature two categories: an Inter-School Team Event and an Open Rapid Chess Tournament, creating opportunities for both school participants and members of the wider community.

Schools are invited to register one team in Under 14, selected by their respective academic teams. Each team must consist of four members including one boy and one girl player. Participation in the Inter-School category will be free of charge. For the Open category, an entry fee of BD 3 per participant will apply.

The Indian School celebrated its annual Mathematics Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students across all grade levels. The event was designed to nurture mathematical thinking, encourage creativity, and provide students with opportunities to apply conceptual knowledge through engaging and innovative activities. The celebrations featured a wide range of competitions for different classes, including display boards, model making, symposiums, quizzes, and digital presentations. Each segment highlighted specific mathematical themes, enabling students to explore concepts in a practical and imaginative manner. Muhammad Adnan (XS) spoke on the topic ‘The Influence of Mathematics in Students Life.’

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) successfully organised Science Day- Technofest 2026, a vibrant celebration of scientific inquiry, innovation, and environmental awareness. Students from Classes IV to XII enthusiastically participated in a series of competitions designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and scientific exploration.
Students of Classes IV and V showcased their innovative ideas through a Science Exhibition based on the theme ‘6R – Rethinking the Lifecycle of Consumption,’ highlighting sustainable practices and responsible use of resources.
