🌍✨ Every journey has its final chapter—but every ending is also the beginning of something new.

The Closing Ceremony of the European Geography Olympiad (EGEO) 2026 marked the culmination of an unforgettable week in Varna, Bulgaria, where young geographers from across Europe came together to challenge themselves, build friendships, and celebrate their shared passion for our world.

The fourth day of EGEO 2026 began with the spirit of July Morning in Varna and continued with the multimedia test — the final competition round of the olympiad.

A day of focus, discovery, friendship, good energy and smiles.

Fieldwork day took the participants outside the classroom and into the field.

The 2026 EGEO Field Work happened in the area of Chudnite Skali (the Wonderful Rocks) geomorphological landmark (Part 1) and in the village of Asparuhovo near the Tsonevo Reservoir (Part 2). The third part of the exam was taken in the Town of Dalgopol.

A train journey, field observations, mapping, research tasks, teamwork and competition — all captured in one day full of knowledge, curiosity, friendship, beautiful nature and many smiles.

Day 3 at EGEO 2026: fieldwork, maps and new friendships 🌍

The third day of the European Geography Olympiad took the participants outside the classroom and into the field.

The 2026 EGEO Field Work happened in the area of Chudnite Skali (the Wonderful Rocks) geomorphological landmark (Part 1) and in the village of Asparuhovo near the Tsonevo Reservoir (Part 2). The third part of the exam was taken in the Town of Dalgopol.
