На 26.03.2025 г. в заседателната зала на ЦВП УНИТе се проведе среща между представители на Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев", Русенска търговско-индустриална камара (РТИК) и Сименс България.
От страна на университета в събитието участваха проф. Георги Христов, проф. Пламен Захариев, доц. Нина Бенчева и гл. ас. д-р Венцислав Кесеев от катедра "Телекомуникации", както и доц. Станислав Пенчев от катедра "Автоматика и електроника". РТИК бе представена от г-н Айри Мемишев, а Сименс България от инж. Бойко Бойков от дивизията "Дигитални индустрии" на компанията.
Основна цел на срещата бе обсъждането на съвместната работа на трите организации в рамките на проект „Дигитални близнаци за интелигентно производство“ (Digital twin on smart manufacturing), който е финансиран от програма Erasmus+ чрез договор 101140156 – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PI-ALL-INNO. РТИК е партньор в проекта, а Русенски университет е асоцииран партньор и бенефициент от изпълнението му. Основната цел на проекта е разработването на виртуални двойници на различни системи за индустриална автоматизация и интегрирането им в образователните процеси на няколко висши училища от Европа, в това число и на Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев".
По време на срещата бяха обсъдени пет взаимосвързани софтуерни решения за създаване на дигитални двойници на Siemens, както и как те ще бъдат въведени в образователните процеси със студентите от Русенски университет.
След срещата, инж. Бойко Бойков посети зала 10.323 „Индустриални контролери и комуникации Siemens“ на катедра "Телекомуникации", която е в процес на модернизация благодарение на дарение от страна на Сименс България.

On March 26, 2025, a meeting was held at the Center of Excellence UNITe at the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" with representatives from the University of Ruse, the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), and Siemens Bulgaria.

Main Goal of the Meeting:
The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss the collaboration between the three organizations. This is within the framework of the Erasmus+ funded project titled “Digital Twin for Smart Manufacturing” (also referred to as “Digital twin on smart manufacturing”), under contract 101140156 – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PI-ALL-INNO. The objectives of the project include:
Developing virtual twins for industrial automation systems;
Integrating these digital twins into the educational processes of several universities across Europe, including University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev".
Key Discussion Points:
1. Software Solutions for Digital Twins:
The meeting discussed five interconnected software solutions from Siemens for creating digital twins, which will be implemented into the educational curriculum at University of Ruse.
2. Educational Integration:
How these technologies will be incorporated into the student learning experience at the university was also a key topic of discussion.
3. Collaboration with Siemens:
A strong emphasis was placed on the collaboration between University of Ruse and Siemens Bulgaria in the field of Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing.
Post-Meeting Activity:
Following the meeting, Eng. Boyko Boykov visited Room 10.323 "Industrial Controllers and Siemens Communications" at the Department of Telecommunications, which is currently undergoing modernization, thanks to a donation from Siemens Bulgaria.

На 20.02.2025 г., в Центъра за върхови постижения (ЦВП - Проект УНИТе) на Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев" се проведе специализиран семинар за трансфер на технологии и знания в областта на 3D технологиите за дигитализация и визуализация.
Участници в семинара бяха музейни специалисти от Регионален исторически музей - гр. Русе, Регионален исторически музей – гр. Разград и Исторически музей – гр. Исперих, а лектори в обучението бяха проф. Георги Христов, гл. ас. д-р Дияна Кинанева и ас. д-р Георги Георгиев от Катедра "Телекомуникации".
Представителите на музеите придобиха знания и умения в сферата на методите за компютърно моделиране и създаване на 3D модели, дигитализацията на обекти чрез фотограметрия, 3D сканирането чрез лазерни скенери и скенери със структурирана светлина, както и за начините за визуализация на дигитално съдържание чрез 3D принтиране, чрез системи с виртуална реалност, чрез решения с добавена реалност и чрез специализирани Интернет платформи.
След края на обучението представителите на музеите имаха възможност да посетят лабораторията по адитивни технологии „3D Makerspace“ към Катедра "Телекомуникации", както и Научно-изследователския комплекс към университета, където разгледаха лабораторията по „Интелигентни киберфизични системи и технологии за генериране и визуализация на пространствени обекти и процеси“ на Научна група 3.1.3 в проект "Русенски изследователски университет".

On February 20, 2025, a specialized seminar on technology and knowledge transfer in the field of 3D technologies for digitization and visualization was held at the Center of Excellence UNITe (UNITe Project) at University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev".
Event Details:
Organizers: The seminar was organized by the team of Research Group 3.1.3: "Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems and Technologies for Generating and Visualizing Spatial Objects and Processes" as part of the "Scientific University of Ruse" Project, which is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of Bulgaria (contract BG-RRP-2.013-0001).
Participants:
The seminar was attended by museum specialists from the following institutions:
- Regional Historical Museum – Ruse;
- Regional Historical Museum – Razgrad;
- Historical Museum – Isperih.
The lecturers at the seminar were:
- Prof. Georgi Hristov;
- Assoc. Prof. Diana Kinaneva;
- Asst. Prof. Georgi Georgiev from the Department of Telecommunications.
Seminar Focus:
The participants gained knowledge and skills in the following areas:
Computer modeling and 3D modeling creation methods;
Digitization of objects using photogrammetry;
3D scanning with laser scanners and structured light scanners;
Visualization of digital content through 3D printing, Virtual Reality (VR) systems, Augmented Reality (AR) solutions, and specialized internet platforms.
Post-Seminar Activities:
After the training, museum representatives had the opportunity to visit:
The "3D Makerspace" laboratory at the Department of Telecommunications, focused on additive technologies (3D printing);
The Research Complex at the university, where they visited the laboratory of Research Group 3.1.3 on Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems and Technologies for Generating and Visualizing Spatial Objects and Processes, which is part of the "Scientific University of Ruse" Project.

В периода 9-13 Декември 2024 г., проф. Пламен Захариев, проф. Георги Христов и доц. Нина Бенчева от Катедра "Телекомуникации" на Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев" участваха в Erasmus+ мобилност в Технологичен университет ПЕТРОНАС (Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS - UTP) - Университет №1 в Малайзия и частен университет №1 в Източна Азия.
Преподавателските мобилности са реализирани в рамките на двустранно споразумение по програма Erasmus+, което се координира от Катедра „Телекомуникации“ и е резултат от дългогодишното сътрудничество между Русенски университет „Ангел Кънчев“ и Технологичния Университет ПЕТРОНАС.
В рамките на визитата, преподавателите от Алма Матер представиха пред своите домакини информация за Русенски университет, ЦВП УНИТе и проект "Русенски изследователски университет", както и възможностите за провеждане на различни образователни и научни дейности в университета, във Факултет ЕЕА и в Катедра "Телекомуникации". Гостите от Русенски университет изнесоха пред студенти и докторанти от UTP няколко избрани лекционни теми от областта на 3D технологиите и киберсигурността, след което участваха в обучения, които бяха организирани за тях от домакините.
Официалната част от визитата на гостите включваше срещи с академичното ръководство на UTP в лицето на Канцлера на университета Н. Пр. проф. Мохамед Муталиб (Prof Dato' Ir Ts Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib), зам.-канцлера проф. Хилми Мукхтар (Prof Ir Dr Hilmi Mukhtar) и представители на няколко факултета и катедри. Представителите на Русенски университет посетиха още Центъра за Академични върхови постижения (Centre for Academic Excellence - CAdEx) и модерните технологично-подпомогнати активни класни стаи в него (Technology Enhanced Active Learning Classrooms - TEAL), Центъра за научни изследвания в областта на информационните науки (Centre for Research in Data Science - CeRDaS), Националния Център за върхови постижения и Център за изследване на сигнали и изображения (Centre for Intelligent Signal and Imaging Research - CISIR), Центъра за развитие на студентите (Centre for Students Development - CSD), Университетската научно-изследователска лаборатория по иновации в 5G комуникациите (PER5ONA), както и различни лаборатории по енергийна ефективност, изкуствен интелект, мрежови технологии, електротехника и телекомуникации.
Гостите и домакините обсъдиха възможностите за разширяване на сътрудничеството между двата университета, чрез различни форми за обучение на студенти и докторанти, подготовка на съвместни публикации и участие в проекти. До момента на обучение в Русенски университет са били 4 докторанта и студента от UTP, като се очаква още двама да пристигнат в Алма Матер през следващата академична година. През м. Май 2025 г., в Русе за краткосрочна академична мобилност ще пристигне група от четирима професори от UTP, като това е втората такава група, с което общия брой на преподавателите от UTP посетили Русенски университет ще стане общо седем.

From December 9-13, 2024, Prof. Plamen Zahariev, Prof. Georgi Hristov, and Assoc. Prof. Nina Bencheva from the Department of Telecommunications at University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" participated in an Erasmus+ mobility program at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), the leading university in Malaysia. It is also the number one private university in East Asia.
The academic mobility program was conducted under a bilateral agreement within the Erasmus+ framework, coordinated by the Department of Telecommunications, and is a result of long-standing cooperation between University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
Key Activities During the Visit:
1. Presentation of University of Ruse and UTP Collaboration:
The visiting professors presented information about the University of Ruse, the Center of Excellence UNITe, and the “Scientific University of Ruse” Project to their hosts. They also discussed the opportunities for conducting various educational and scientific activities at University of Ruse, the Faculty of EEA, and the Department of Telecommunications.
2. Lectures on 3D Technologies and Cybersecurity:
The guests delivered lectures on topics related to 3D technologies and cybersecurity to students and PhD candidates at UTP. They also participated in training sessions organized by their hosts.
3. Meetings with UTP Academic Leadership:
The official part of the visit included meetings with the academic leadership of UTP, including the Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Ir Ts Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, Deputy Chancellor Prof. Ir Dr. Hilmi Mukhtar, and representatives from several faculties and departments.
4. Exploration of UTP Research Centers and Laboratories:
The guests visited several state-of-the-art research centers and laboratories at UTP, including:
- Centre for Academic Excellence (CAdEx) and Technology Enhanced Active Learning Classrooms (TEAL);
- Centre for Research in Data Science (CeRDaS);
- Centre for Intelligent Signal and Imaging Research (CISIR);
- Centre for Students Development (CSD);
- PER5ONA – University’s research laboratory in 5G communications;
- Various laboratories in energy efficiency, artificial intelligence, network technologies, electrical engineering, and telecommunications.
5. Discussions on Future Collaboration:
The guests and hosts discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation between the two universities through various forms of student and PhD training, joint publications, and participation in projects.
So far, four PhD students and one undergraduate student from UTP have participated in training at University of Ruse, with two more expected to join in the next academic year.
A group of four professors from UTP is expected to visit University of Ruse in May 2025 for a short-term academic mobility program. This will be the second such group, bringing the total number of UTP faculty members who have visited University of Ruse to seven.

Във връзка с Деня на отворените врати на Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев" на 28 и 29 октомври на посещение на Алма Матер бяха дванадесетокласници и техните учители от ПГЕХТ “Проф. Асен Златаров“ - гр. Плевен, НПТГ "Шандор Петьофи" - гр. Разград и СУ "Николай Катранов" – гр. Свищов.
По време на посещението си, гостите от трите училища участваха в обучителни семинари на тема "Приложение на 3D технологиите за намаляване на въглеродния отпечатък", които бяха организирани специално за тях от преподаватели от катедра Телекомуникации. Обученията приключиха с връчване на сертификати за участие на учениците и учителите, а всеки от тях получи и 3D принтиран сувенир - фигурка символизираща връзката между 3D технологиите и карбоновия отпечатък. Всички сувенири бяха изработени чрез принтерите в 3D Makerspace - споделеното пространство за креативност, което бе открито наскоро в зала 6.302 на Русенски университет.
След обучителните семинари, учениците и учителите разгледаха корпусите и лабораториите на университета, Научноизследователския комплекс и Центъра за върхови постижения "УНИТе". За финал, всички гости се присъединиха към дейностите от Деня на отворените врати на Русенски университет в Канев Център, където се запознаха в детайли с възможностите за обучение в различните факултети и филиали на университета.

In relation to the Open Day at the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" on October 28-29, 2024, 12th-grade students and their teachers from PGHT "Prof. Asen Zlatarov" (Pleven), NPTG "Shandor Petofi" (Razgrad), and SU "Nikolai Katranov" (Svishtov) visited the university.
Training Seminars on 3D Technologies:
During their visit, the guests from the three schools participated in training seminars on the topic “Application of 3D Technologies to Reduce Carbon Footprint”, which were organized specifically for them by faculty members from the Department of Telecommunications.
The seminars concluded with the presentation of certificates of participation to the students and teachers, and each participant received a 3D-printed souvenir — a figurine representing the connection between 3D technologies and carbon footprint reduction. All souvenirs were produced using 3D printers in the 3D Makerspace. This is a shared creative space recently opened in Room 6.302 at the university.
University Tour:
After the training sessions, the students and teachers had the opportunity to explore the university’s buildings and laboratories, as well as visit the Research Complex and the Center of Excellence UNITe.
Open Day Activities:
To conclude the visit, all guests participated in the activities of the Open Day at Kanev Center, where they learned more in detail about the educational opportunities available at the university's various faculties and branches.

В периода 26-30 Юни 2024 г., в Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев" на посещение бяха проф. Дейвид Банджердпонгчай ( Prof. David Banjerdpongchai), проф. Пайсан Китисупакорн (Prof. Paisan Kittisupakorn) и инж. Сириканя Сингкуна (Sirikanya Singcuna) от университет №1 в Тайланд – Университет Чулалонгкорн (Chulalongkorn University) в Бангкок.
Взаимодействието между Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев" и Университет Чулалонгкорн датира от 2020 г. През 2022 г. между двете институции бе подписан меморандум за сътрудничество в сферата на образованието и научните изследвания, както и институционално споразумение за обмен на преподаватели, докторанти и студенти. Настоящата визита на преподавателите от водещия университет в Тайланд се осъществява именно в рамките на подписаното Erasmus+ споразумение за обмен, което бе инициализирано и се администрира от Катедра „Телекомуникации“.
Гостите бяха посрещнати от доц. д-р инж. Галина Иванова, зам.-ректор на Русенски университет и доц. д-р инж. Александър Иванов, ръководител на Научноизследователски сектор към Алма Матер, които им представиха накратко университета и концепцията за образователни пространства на бъдещето (Future Education Space). На свой ред, гостите от Тайланд представиха своя университет, неговата структура и възможностите за провеждане на обучение и научноизследователски дейности в него.
В Центъра за Върхови Постижения УНИТе гостите имаха възможността да видят специализираното оборудване за 3D сканиране, 3D принтиране, кинематично заснемане, различни холограмни пирамиди, системи за добавена и виртуална реалност и др. Обсъдени бяха възможностите за разширяване на съвместните дейности между двата университета както по отношение на преподавателските и студентските мобилности по програма Erasmus+, така и по отношение на възможните бъдещи проекти и съвместни публикации на научните екипи от България и Тайланд.

From June 26 to 30, 2024, Prof. David Banjerdpongchai, Prof. Paisan Kittisupakorn, and Sirikanya Singcuna from Chulalongkorn University, the leading university in Thailand, visited University of Ruse" Angel Kanchev".
Background of Collaboration:
The collaboration between University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" and Chulalongkorn University dates back to 2020. In 2022, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the two institutions in the fields of education and scientific research, as well as an institutional agreement for the exchange of faculty, doctoral students, and students. This visit is part of the Erasmus+ exchange agreement initiated and administered by the Department of Telecommunications.
Visit Highlights:
Welcome and Presentations:
The guests were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Galina Ivanova, Vice-Rector of University of Ruse, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Alexander Ivanov, Head of the Research Sector. They introduced the guests to the university and presented the concept of the Future Education Space.
Presentation by Thai Guests:
In return, the Thai delegation presented Chulalongkorn University, its structure, and the opportunities for conducting education and research activities at their institution.
Visit to Research Facilities:
The Thai professors visited the newly constructed Research Complex at University of Ruse, where they toured the Laboratory of Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems and Technologies for Generating and Visualizing Spatial Objects and Processes. They had the chance to see various robotic systems and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Center of Excellence UNITe:
At the Center of Excellence UNITe, the guests were introduced to the specialized equipment for 3D scanning, 3D printing, kinematic motion capture, holographic pyramids, and systems for augmented and virtual reality. These technologies are essential for modern research in the fields of engineering, robotics, and digital transformation.
Discussions on Future Collaboration:
Discussions were held on expanding the cooperation between the two universities, focusing on:
- Erasmus+ faculty and student mobility.
- Future joint research projects and publications involving scientific teams from both Bulgaria and Thailand.
Conclusion:
The visit marked another significant milestone in the growing collaboration between University of Ruse and Chulalongkorn University, with the potential for deeper cooperation in educational and research activities, including mobility programs and scientific publications.

През юни 2024 г. на посещение в Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев" бяха доц. д-р Ela Ayşe Köksal от Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi в Турция и нейна докторантка.
По време на визитата, гостите имаха възможността да посетят Центъра за Върхови Постижения УНИТе и да се запознаят с научно-изследователските и образователни дейности от сферата на 3D технологиите, изкуствения интелект и роботиката, които се извършват в петте специализирани лаборатории на центъра.
Посещението на гостите от Турция продължи със среща с ръководството и с част от преподавателския състав на Катедра Телекомуникации, на която бяха обсъдени бъдещи съвместни научни и образователни дейности и проекти между двата университета, както и възможностите за обучение на докторанти и студенти от Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi в Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев".

In June 2024, Prof. Dr. Ela Ayşe Köksal from Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University in Turkey, along with her PhD student, visited University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev".

The guests had the opportunity to visit the Center of Excellence UNITe, where they were introduced to the research and educational activities in the fields of 3D technologies, artificial intelligence, and robotics. The center houses five specialized laboratories dedicated to these areas.

The visit continued with a meeting with the University leadership and faculty members from the Department of Telecommunications.
- During the Meeting:
They discussed potential future collaborative research and educational projects between University of Ruse and Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. The possibility of PhD and student exchange and training programs was also explored, with the aim of fostering further cooperation between the two institutions.

На 11.06.2024 г. на посещение в Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев" по програма Еразъм бяха преподаватели от Китай, Виетнам, Узбекистан, Грузия, Йордания и Албания. Чуждестранните изследователи посещават Русенски университет в рамките на Erasmus+ билатерални споразумения за обмен на студенти и преподаватели, които се координират от преподаватели от Катедра "Компютърни системи и технологии" и Катедра „Телекомуникации“ на Факултет "Електротехника, електроника и автоматика".
Гостите участваха в кратък научен семинар с доц. Галина Иванова, зам.-ректор по международно сътрудничество на университета, която им представи информация за Алма Матер, както и концепцията за образователно пространство на бъдещето – Future Education Space. На свой ред всички гости представиха своите университети и провежданите в тях научни и образователни дейности.

On June 11, 2024, a group of professors from China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Jordan, and Albania visited University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" as part of the Erasmus+ program. The visiting researchers took part in bilateral Erasmus+ agreements for the exchange of students and faculty, coordinated by the Department of Computer Systems and Technologies and the Department of Telecommunications at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Automation.
Activities during the visit:

- The guests participated in a brief scientific seminar with Assoc. Prof. Galina Ivanova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at University of Ruse, who provided an overview of the university and presented the concept of the Future Education Space.

На посещение в Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев" в периода 27-31.05.2024 г. бе доц. Омар Алмоуса (Omar Almousa) от Катедрата по Киберсигурност на Йорданския Университет по Наука и Технологии (Jordan University of Science and Technology – JUST). В рамките на визитата си, доц. Алмоуса се срещна с доц. Александър Иванов, директор на Научно-изследователския сектор към Русенски университет „Ангел Кънчев“, с ръководството на Катедра "Телекомуникации", както и с преподаватели, докторанти и студенти в катедрата.
Посещението на доц. Алмоуса съвпадна с визитата в Русенски университет „Ангел Кънчев“ на други двама чуждестранни преподаватели – доц. Пунарумол Темдее (Punnarumol Temdee) и гл. ас. д-р Роунгсан Чайсричароен (Roungsan Chaisricharoen) от Университет Мае Фа Луанг (Mae Fah Luang University – MFU) в Тайланд.
Посещенията на чуждестранните изследователи от JUST и MFU се реализират в рамките на Erasmus+ билатерални споразумения за обмен на студенти и преподаватели, които се координират от преподаватели от Катедра „Телекомуникации“ на Русенски университет.
На 31-ви Май 2024 г., тримата чуждестранни преподаватели имаха възможността да се срещнат с доц. Галина Иванова, зам.-ректор по международно сътрудничество на университета, която им представи информация за Алма Матер, както и концепцията за образователно пространство на бъдещето – Future Education Space. Преподавателите от MFU и JUST също представиха своите университети, както и възможностите за обучение и провеждане на научни изследвания в тях. Срещата между представителите на трите институции продължи в задълбочена дискусия относно възможностите за участие в международни конференции, публикуването на общи доклади и статии, обучението на студенти и докторанти, организирането на практически семинари, както и разработването на съвместни международни научни и образователни проекти.
Посещението на доц. Алмоуса, доц. Темдее и д-р Чайсричароен продължи с разглеждане на музейната експозиция и кампуса на университета. В Научноизследователския комплекс на Русенски университет, гостите имаха възможност да посетят лабораторията по „Интелигентни киберфизични системи и технологии за генериране и визуализация на пространствени обекти и процеси“, където разгледаха различни роботизирани системи и безпилотни летателни апарати. В Центъра за Върхови Постижения УНИТе гостите се запознаха със съвременните решения за дигитализация и визуализация на обекти. По време на посещението си, чуждестранните преподаватели имаха възможност да присъстват и на провеждането на занятия по дисциплината „3D технологии“, които през този семестър се водят на английски език от преподаватели от Катедра „Телекомуникации“ с Erasmus+ обменни студенти именно от MFU.
Гостите от двата университета бяха изключително силно впечатлени от всичко, което видяха по време на посещението си. Доц. Темдее, която е сред 2% най-добри изследователи в света, потвърди готовността на MFU за разширяване на сътрудничеството си с Русенски университет. Доц. Алмоуса потвърди впечатленията на колегите си от MFU и каза, че Йорданския Университет по Наука и Технологии, който е и най-големия университет в Кралство Йордания, е направил правилен избор като е избрал да си партнира в България именно с Русенски университет „Ангел Кънчев“.

From May 27 to May 31, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Omar Almousa from the Department of Cybersecurity at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) visited University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev". During his visit, Prof. Almousa met with Assoc. Prof. Alexander Ivanov, Director of the Research Sector at University of Ruse, and the leadership of the Department of Telecommunications. He also met with faculty members, PhD students, and other students in the department.
Concurrently with Other Foreign Visitors:
Prof. Almousa’s visit coincided with the visit of Assoc. Prof. Punnarumol Temdee and Asst. Prof. Dr. Roungsan Chaisricharoen from Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) in Thailand. The visits of these international researchers from JUST and MFU were part of the Erasmus+ bilateral exchange agreements between the universities, coordinated by the Department of Telecommunications at University of Ruse.
Key Highlights of the Visit:
1. Meetings with University Leadership:
On May 31, 2024, the three visiting professors had a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Galina Ivanova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at University of Ruse. During the meeting, Prof. Ivanova presented the university and its concept for Future Education Space. The guests from MFU and JUST also introduced their respective institutions and discussed opportunities for education and research collaborations.
2. Discussions on Future Collaboration:
The meeting continued with an in-depth discussion about the possibilities for:
- Participation in international conferences.
- Publication of joint papers and articles.
- Training of students and PhD candidates.
- Organizing practical seminars.
- Developing joint international scientific and educational projects.
3. Visit to University Facilities:
The visiting professors had the opportunity to tour the Museum Exhibition and University Campus. They visited the Research Complex at University of Ruse, including the Laboratory of Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems and Technologies for Generating and Visualizing Spatial Objects and Processes. Here, they explored various robotic systems and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
4. Center of Excellence UNITe:
At the Center of Excellence UNITe, the guests were introduced to the modern solutions for digitalization and visualization of objects, as well as new 3D scanning technologies.
5. Participation in Classes:
The visiting professors also had the chance to attend classes in the "3D Technologies" course, which is being taught in English this semester by faculty from the Department of Telecommunications. This course is part of the Erasmus+ exchange program involving students from MFU.
Impressions from the Visitors:
- Assoc. Prof. Temdee, one of the top 2% of researchers worldwide, confirmed MFU's readiness to expand its cooperation with University of Ruse.
- Prof. Almousa shared the positive impressions, stating that Jordan University of Science and Technology, the largest university in Jordan, made the right decision in choosing University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" as its partner in Bulgaria.
Conclusion:
The visit of the international professors from MFU and JUST further solidified the growing relationship between University of Ruse and leading academic institutions in Jordan and Thailand, opening doors for further academic cooperation, research, and mobility programs under Erasmus+.
