On April 26, the ValueMe team took part in the Erasmus+ event Gen Z in Action, organised in collaboration with ALIBIS Training & Education and CEGE Association.

During the event, Monika Kabaivanova, Ehat Konedarev, and Hristina Tsonkova presented the KALIS - Keep all learners in schoolsKALIS project, with a special focus on the KALIS Learning Game — an innovative tool designed to support students in reflecting on real-life situations, making decisions, and understanding the consequences of choices connected to school engagement and early school leaving.

The presentation opened a meaningful discussion on how young people can develop key competences such as adaptability, communication, initiative, self-awareness, and decision-making in a rapidly changing world.

Through the Learning Game, KALIS shows that prevention of early school leaving is not only about monitoring risk, but also about helping students build awareness, motivation, and personal strategies for staying connected to education.

The event brought together motivated young people who are ready not only to participate, but to grow, reflect, and build their future with intention. ✨

📣 Coming Soon: A New Training Program for Teachers – “How to Motivate Students and Reduce School Dropout”

Did you know that every year millions of young people in Europe leave school early – before completing their education? These early school leavers (ages 18–24) often face limited career opportunities, unemployment, and social exclusion. Research shows that education level is one of the most decisive factors when employers are hiring – meaning that early school leaving has long-term consequences for both the individual and society.

💡 That’s why we developed a complete program for schools designed to support teachers, school counsellors, and education staff in tackling early school leaving (ESL) through knowledge, strategies, and innovation.

The programme includes:

A comprehensive online course “How to Motivate Students and Reduce School Dropout”

An ESL prevention strategy for schools to implement holistically

A student learning game that builds motivation and self-awareness

A real-time ESL Warning Tool to monitor risk and communicate with parents

A resource platform with continuously updated tools and materials

Why it’s needed:

In the EU, 9.6% of young people aged 18–24 are early school leavers.

Early school leavers are twice as likely to be unemployed compared to their peers with upper-secondary education.

Teachers are the first line of defence – their daily interaction with students allows them to detect early warning signs, build motivation, and provide timely support.

Coming soon! Stay tuned for the official launch and be among the first educators to access this powerful new programme.

Because every student deserves a chance – and every teacher deserves the tools to make it happen.

...Did you know that before any great game is launched, it goes through a long journey of creativity, teamwork, and—most importantly—testing?🤔 The KALIS serious game is no exception!

Right now, our project partners across Europe are in the middle of a crucial phase: MVP playtesting. But what does that mean? It means our game is in its “minimum viable product” stage—a working version that’s ready for real students to try out. Before you see the final release, the KALIS team runs the game through different challanges, such as scenario selection, student playtesting,
surveys, reflection, analysis and revision!!

All this hard work means that when the KALIS game finally launches, you can be sure it’s not just fun and engaging, but also a powerful tool for learning how to overcome school challenges and stay on track for success.

So… Are you ready to play?
Stay tuned—your journey with KALIS is about to begin!

AI can support learning — but only when used with intention.
Overreliance on AI can lower motivation, grades... and even lead to dropping out.
The KALIS project is here to help schools prevent early school leaving with smart tools, real-time alerts, and a serious game that builds student engagement and digital wellbeing.
Let’s teach students to co-create, not copy-paste.✍
