A couple of years ago I made a similar blog post and it's one of the most read posts on my website. I decided to update the list this year with a new post of fresh ideas you can use :) I hope it's a helpful read! Comment if you've read or liked my new post :)

And me? I have another 3 weeks of school and then FINALLY I will be able to rest for the summer :) I've got a Greece trip coming up and I literally can't wait for it!

Last days of school ideas for Technology Teachers (the FUN edition) The last days of school are always chaotic, loud, and exhausting, but they can also end up being some of the most memorable classes of the entire year. Honestly, students usually remember these fun…

AI Artificial Intelligence Face recognition intro and Practical tasks Beginners 17/05/2024

This resource focuses on Face recognition as an AI technology, explained in a very easy beginner-friendly style, suitable for students of all ages. The resource includes a brief theoretical part, after which there's some very fun and extremely engaging practical activities. My students are always thrilled to work with the used free online software that detects and categorizes emotions using the device's camera and the so-called Emotion AI.

AI Artificial Intelligence Face recognition intro and Practical tasks Beginners Artificial intelligence is this big hot topic that is present in our lives every day through face recognition and other biometrics, at least. That is why we need to talk about the important aspects of it, to educate the young minds, to show them how to not be scared of the new era approaching. This....

“Countdown to Zero Day” by Kim Zetter – Techie book review 17/05/2024

A new blog post is up :) It's a Techie book review of one of the most interesting and fascinating books I've ever read!

“Ghost in the wires” by Kevin Mitnick – Techie book review 03/04/2024

I just uploaded a new blog post! It's a techie book review of the book "Ghost in the wires" by Kevin Mitnick. This super exciting book about the "most wanted hacker in the world" was really interesting for me, from beginning to end! Most of the time, I couldn’t put it down and I would bring it with me anywhere, even at work for my little breaks.

Have you ever had those days where you just want to relax, take it easy and not do your a typical proper teaching? Well, today was one of those days for me so I just went to TPT and I found this very fun Internet WebQuest, by "Trails 4 Success". It's about mac & cheese (cool, right?) and you'll be surprised by how many things you don't know about this delicious dish and the history around it. My students absolutely loved it, and it took a good portion of my lesson as well. (6th grade students, which is 12 year olds, took them between 20 Nd 30 minutes to complete) I'm very happy with this activity. It was free but I'm thinking about buying some of the paid products from that TpT store since I enjoyed this freebie so much. I definitely would recommend this if you were currently teaching how to do a proper search engine query, how to extract keywords from a question etc.

We had an early Halloween at our school because where I teach we have an Autumn vacation for the whole of next week, so we'll be skipping the actual Halloween. We had our early Halloween today but the only festive part was that students and teachers could dress up in Halloween costumes. We didn't have any kind of celebration or something organised like games. Nothing fun, just a normal school day. Well, nothing I can do about it. I did receive a lot of candy from my students (I love candy!). They were all dressed up in such cool costumes. The sweet treat I am holding in the picture was actually a cinnamon biscuit with a cashew nut that looked like a finger and a horribly looking nail. It was very yummy. It was something a student of mine made with her mother and she brought one for each teacher in the school. That was so kind and so delicious. I didn't really feel like putting an actual costume today because it's not the actual Halloween, but in the spirit of the season I did throw on some bright orange lipstick and my favourite pumpkin earrings. So for the whole day the students were like "oh Miss, we love your costume, you're a lady pumpkin" 🎃 I was so happy they thought so! 🧛‍♂️🍁🎃🥰 Happy Early Halloween! 🍂
