Today I have spent the day busy making masks for the kids. Starting from tomorrow, the use of masks at school is mandatory for kids age 6 onwards here in Belgium. I do it with a broken heart, because I year ago I hoped that by now we would be living a different scenario, with the vacine and everything.... But I seems that we will have to bear it for a while more and protect the ones we love the way we can. I made a few extras, so if you have interest in buying it msg me.

Era uma vez uma bermuda masculina rasgada, que se transformou em duas lindas roupinhas: uma saia e uma salopete. E as duas princesas foram felizes para sempre. Fim!

A verdadeira história é que meu irmão rasgou o shorts qdo veio de férias para cá o ano passado. Eu não deixei ele jogar a bermuda no lixo, mesmo sem saber o q fazer com ela.
Finalmente em um lampejo de inspiração e com um pouco de motivação dei vida nova à pobre bermuda. Eloíse odorou a saia, mas Helena achou a salopete "sem graça" - palavras dela - "falta um desenho de arco íris ou babadinho pra ficar mais bonita mãe"...RS. Eu fiquei satisfeita com o resultado do meu trabalho, pois foquei em fazer um acabemento caprichado nas peças, e acho que consegui. Eu sou muito ansiosa, qdo começo algo quero terminar logo, o que as vezes acaba afetando a qualidade do trabalho final. Mas aos poucos vou domando minha pressa e aprimorando minhas abilidades! .

Once upon a time there was a torn men's shorts, that was turned onto two beautiful girls clothes: a skirt and a salopete. And the two princesses were happy ever after. The end!

The real story is that my brother tore his shorts when he came here for holidays last year. I didn't let him throw the shorts in the trash, even though I didn't know what to do with it. Finally, in a flash of inspiration and with a little motivation, I gave new life to the poor shorts. Eloíse loved her skirt, but Helena found the salopete "boring" - her words - "it needs a little rainbow drawing or frill to make it nicer mom" ... RS.
I was satisfied with the result of my work. I was able to finish the pieces neatly, with a nice finishing. I am very anxious person and when I start something I want to finish it soon. Which sometimes affects the quality of the final work. But little by little I am taming my haste and improving my abilities!

The gym bag final version! She really likes the fringes movement and the fact that her name is written on it...❤️ I used half of an old denim trouser to make it plus a few fabric scraps. The details are hand embroidered - I'm enjoying to practice this new skill and see the improvements I make as I go.
I had this idea long time ago and it has been on back of my head for a while. The materials were laying in my studio asking to be used for but the procrastination monster was making me postpone it 😬. It's a wonderful feeling to finally give life to your ideas, almost a physical relief in my case. I feel proud of the outcome - better later than never!
And no Portuguese or Nederlands text today because I'm lazy to do so. 🌠😘 @ Sint-Kruis

I've been walking around with my favourite jeans back pockets almost falling off for a while. Then I started seeing loads of cool ideas for visible mending on the internet and decided to try it out. I'm happy with the outcome. Specially because it's a bit crooked - I was too lazy to pin on place before.

Casa de ferreiro espeto de pau - andei uns 6 meses com o bolso traseiro do meu jeans favorito descosturando. Depois de ver muitas idéias legais de reparos aparente decidi tentar, e adorei o resultado! Especialmente pq ficou meu tortinho- por conta da minha preguiça de colocar alfinetes antes de costurar.
