The short course is a non-formal educational experience where participants aged 15 to 19 from different
countries and cultures, who probably wouldn’t meet in other circumstances, will be brought together with four different objectives:
* To raise self-awareness by experiencing questions such as identity and culture.
* To build bridges across different cultures and create a healthy and inclusive community.
* To gain a deeper understanding of some of the most topical issues facing us today, such as migration, racism, conflict resolution and sustainable development.
* To develop skills to help improve in the local community. The aim is to gather young people from all horizons in order to construct one united community and to empower these young people to take the positive lessons they have learned home with them and become forces of good. Participants are expected to come as they are, with their ideas, desires, identities and experiences. The program aims at providing resources and encouraging the desire to strive for a sustainable, peaceful future. Over the 10 days, the 40 participants will explore the theme of the day through workshops, physical and mental exercises, social experiences, debates, theatre and games. This enriching and rewarding programme aims to have a lasting effect on those who participate, they will become part of a wide network of likeminded other young people, who stay in touch and work together to improve their societies.
