Happy Merceday! Merce Cunningham was born on the 16th April 1919. Today, 107 years later, I’m thrilled to share that I’m officially authorized to teach Cunningham Technique® Yay!

Thanks to Jennifer Goggans and the Merce Cunningham Trust for leading an excellent Teacher Training last summer. Thanks to all the teachers and peers I was lucky to meet, train with and learn from on the course - your insights and ideas keep on finding their way into my practice. Many thanks to the Lisa Ullmann Travelling Scholarship Fund for helping me fly to New York and attend this exceptional programme ✈️

Merci aussi à Laurence Laforce et toute l’équipe pédagogique des Humanités Danse du Lycée Martin V : vous m’avez donné un avant-goût du travail de Cunningham et permis d’aller voir sa compagnie en scène quand j’étais adolescente - 4 ans de découvertes et d’opportunités tellement précieuses !

Thanks is too short a word to express how grateful I am to Jeannie Steele for being my absolute inspiration since the first term of my first year at London Contemporary Dance School, back in 2012. 14 years later, I have finally become a teacher like you!
