Eapril European Association for Practitioner Research on Improving Learning. Building bridges between research and practice in education and learning.

Annual conferences. EAPRIL stands for European Association for Practitioner Research on Improving Learning (in education and professional practice). It is a non-profit organisation, governed by an Executive Board in cooperation with the EAPRIL office. EAPRIL tries to increase the impact of practice-based and applied educational research on educational policy . Its headquarters is located in Leuven

(Belgium), close to Brussels being the centre of Europe. The founding members of EAPRIL have been involved in educational research and practice and decided to organise the first PBPR conference, the European Practice-Based and Practitioner Research Conference on Learning and Instruction, in 2006. Due to their great success, the conferences have been organised annually since then.

The conference dinner offers an excellent opportunity to continue conversations, meet colleagues from across the EAPRIL community, and enjoy an evening in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

🇮🇪 Last week, EAPRIL Board & Office visited Cork in preparation for the EAPRIL 2026 conference 24-26 November. And it did not disappoint!

- is a fascinating heritage site with rich history
- let’s you step back in time onto Fota Island, the only Irish island with its own railway station
- is a gorgeous hotel nearby the conference venue with a fantastic Cork city view
- will be a perfect venue for our conference, including a beautiful ballroom
- is worth a visit for the historic castle and great food at .blackrock
- has a marvelous campus, including Aula Maxima, truly worth wandering around on
- We could not leave without having a scone 😇
