THREE Mistakes that disarm you Blue Book application:
1. Too generic EU motivation.
If your motivation reads like a university essay or a life story — you are more likely to not be preselected. Make sure the text is sharp, targeted, and relevant to the files of the DG you are applying for.
2. No clear DG fit
Your application should reflect the DG's priorities, tone, and even terminology. Each DG looks for specific profiles — show that you’ve done your homework.
3. Not showing impact
Be concrete about what you bring to the table. Avoid AI written text, that gets picked up on quickly and does not convery the correct 'energy' and 'human motivation'.
Bonus tip: DGs have very limited time and read a lot of applications in a given selection. You have about 10 to 15 seconds to make them want to keep reading.
In case you would like to stand out, I can help you:
● Restructure your application content
● Tailor them to the DG (relying on insights of the concrete files and their progress)
● Make you recruitable with the right tone, keywords, and layout
● Return it back ready within 48h
