Belgium, here we come!
🗓️ Together with JuanFra Alvarado Valenzuela, we are giving a workshop on 22 november in Brussels. This is part of the Study Day for teachers in secondary and vocational education organized by the Faculty of Economics and business from KU Leuven.

💡 We will share some tools for teachers on how we give our own classes in at the HvA lerarenopleiding economie, including solving puzzles, finding opportunities and collaborating. Escape Games in the class is based on our current research, and we have brought it to the classroom with the aim of increasing the entrepreneurial competences, following the Model (The EntreComp Community).

It was great to present with Sofia Boutsiouki , Belinda Ommering, Mieke Koeslag-Kreunen en IAT FEI LAM in the session "Educational Politicy Initiatives in Secondary and Higher education" at the Earli conference 2023 in Thessaloniki. I presented our (Ingrid Wakkee, Wim Groot, Richard Martina ) second study "A Delphi study at secondary schools to identify entrepreneurship attainment levels". There are many more interesting presentations, on to the last few days in Thessaloniki.

This study provides insight into the current range of entrepreneurship programs and their underlying pedagogy in secondary education in the Netherlands. To structure the analysis, we used the 11 design principles of Baggen et al. (2022). We would like to thank all teachers and stakeholders for their help and contribution to this research. Deze studie geeft inzicht in het huidige aanbod van ondernemerschapsprogramma's en hun onderliggende pedagogie in het voortgezet onderwijs in Nederland. Om de analyse te structureren hebben we gebruik gemaakt van de 11 ontwerpprincipes van Baggen et al. (2022) Yvette Baggen. Graag willen wij alle docenten en betrokkenen bedanken voor hen hulp en bijdrage aan dit onderzoek. Mocht u vragen of opmerkingen hebben over het artikel, dan horen wij dat graag.

Mijn eerste column van 2022 in het Tijdschrift voor Economisch Onderwijs (TEO), met daarin handreikingen voor breed ondernemerschapsonderwijs. Met onder andere de ontwerpprincipes van Judith Gulikers en haar collega’s. En het boek van Thomas Lans & Marco Van Gelderen. Aanrader voor iedereen die bezig is of aan de slag wil met (breed) ondernemerschapsonderwijs in het VO & MBO.

🗝 Waar vind je de sleutel voor evidence informed werken?

Deze week hebben we tijdens ove de wetenschap. Op scholen heeft dit vele vormen. Docenten die evidence-informed werken, begrijpen wanneer wat en waar werkt in de klas. Maar, hoe kun je als docenten goed onderbouwde keuzes maken als je lesgeeft? Waar kan de leraar terecht als het gaat om de verbetering van zijn onderwijs? Hoe kan de wetenschap ons helpen het onderwijs voor onze leerlingen te verbeteren?
