Retour en images sur le chantier participatif organisé à l'école De Mot-Couvreur à Bruxelles. Dans le cadre du projet KapLab, nous avons uni nos forces pour offrir de tout nouveaux mobiliers urbains aux élèves !

Ce projet est le fruit d'une magnifique collaboration entre .be, et .47, portée par le Contrat d’école DE MOT-COUVREUR.

Terugblik op de participatieve werf op de school De Mot-Couvreur in Brussel. In het kader van het KapLab-project hebben we de handen ineengeslagen om de leerlingen te voorzien van gloednieuw straatmeubilair!

Dit project is het resultaat van een geweldige samenwerking tussen .be, en .47, in het kader van het Schoolcontract DE MOT-COUVREUR.

Een dikke merci aan .brussels, en voor jullie vertrouwen en kostbare steun tijdens dit mooie collectieve avontuur. 🙏✨

A new look for the schoolyard! 🛠️🌿

A look back in pictures at the community build project organized at the De Mot-Couvreur school in Brussels. As part of the KapLab project, we joined forces to provide the students with brand-new urban furniture!

This project is the result of a wonderful collaboration between .be, , and .47, driven by the DE MOT-COUVREUR School Contract (Contrat d’école).

A huge thank you to .brussels, , and for their trust and invaluable support in this beautiful collective adventure. 🙏✨

✨ Thank you so much to the Urbani separe team for having welcomed us this weekend in Rijeka (Croatia) as part of our Waterside Voices project!
On Friday evening, they hosted a vibrant festival where visitors engaged in playful, hands-on activities, discovering the rich uses, plants, and wildlife of the Rječina River 🌿🌊
Saturday brought the inauguration of their new kiosk, followed by a beautiful walk along the river—with a magical surprise: an artistic shared lunch set inside an old mill 🍽️✨
And this morning, we visited another mill where flour is still produced in the traditional way—such a special experience 🌾

Samedi, l’inauguration du kiosque suivie d’une belle promenade avec un déjeuner artistique dans un ancien moulin 🍽️✨

Vrijdag was er een bruisend festival met speelse activiteiten rond de Rječina 🌿🌊

Zaterdag volgde de opening van hun kiosk en een mooie wandeling met een artistieke lunch in een oude molen 🍽️✨

Vandaag bezochten we een molen waar nog traditioneel meel wordt gemaakt 🌾

Together with 14 super engaged participants, we co-designed and co-built a series of Avatars 🛠️✨that jumped - instead of people - into the Canal on the international 'Big Jump' day on 13.07.2025. Their mission was to carry a strong collective message: Together for a swimmable Brussels! 💙🏊‍♀️🌿

Afgelopen zomer namen , en over met de Creative Workshop BIG JUMPARTY 💧🌊

Samen met 14 zeer geëngageerde deelnemers ontwierpen en bouwden we een reeks Avatars 🛠️✨ die — in plaats van mensen — in het Kanaal sprongen tijdens de internationale Big Jump-dag op 13.07.2025.
Hun missie: een sterke collectieve boodschap uitdragen — samen voor een zwem­baar Brussel! 💙🏊‍♀️🌿

Op 13.07.2025 maakten we een echte splash voor schoon en gedeeld water 💦

Avec 14 participant·es très engagé·es, nous avons co-conçu et co-construit une série d’Avatars 🛠️✨ qui ont sauté — à la place des personnes — dans le Canal lors de la journée internationale « Big Jump », le 13.07.2025.
Leur mission : porter un message collectif fort : ensemble pour une Bruxelles baignable ! 💙🏊‍♀️🌿

Le 13.07.2025, nous avons fait un véritable splash pour des eaux propres et partagées 💦

Looking back at projects from over 15 years ago, I remember one of my first interventions—back when I was working alone . I’ve always loved transforming public spaces in Brussels, but this time, I tested the idea of transformation through use—or what I like to call “Lived Space”—in the middle of the Alps. ❄️🔥

I designed and built a fireplace that evolved with the wood used to fuel it, letting the space literally change through its use. Small experiments like these have shaped how I see space, interaction, and playfulness ever since. ✨

En repensant à des projets d’il y a plus de 15 ans, je me souviens de l’une de mes premières interventions — à l’époque, je travaillais seule . J’ai toujours aimé transformer les espaces publics à Bruxelles, mais cette fois, j’ai testé l’idée de transformation par l’usage — ou ce que j’aime appeler « l’Espace Vécu » — au cœur des Alpes. ❄️🔥

J’ai imaginé et réalisé une cheminée qui évoluait au fil du bois utilisé pour l’alimenter, laissant l’espace se transformer littéralement grâce à son usage. Ces petites expériences ont façonné ma manière de penser l’espace, l’interaction et le jeu depuis toujours. ✨

Terugkijkend op projecten van meer dan 15 jaar geleden, herinner ik me één van mijn eerste interventies — toen ik nog alleen werkte bij . Ik heb altijd graag openbare ruimtes in Brussel getransformeerd, maar deze keer testte ik het idee van transformatie door gebruik — of wat ik graag “Leefruimte” noem — midden in de Alpen. ❄️🔥

Ik ontwierp en maakte een open haard die veranderde afhankelijk van het hout dat erin werd gebruikt, waardoor de ruimte letterlijk evolueerde door het gebruik ervan. Zulke kleine experimenten hebben altijd gevormd hoe ik naar ruimte, interactie en speelsheid kijk. ✨

5 years ago, we joined forces in the Marolles (Brussels) for the Dardaar project — a lively example of participation in action. ✨

Instead of only talking about ideas for the neighborhood, we got hands-on: painting walls and ground surfaces, planting trees, and building urban furniture together. 🌿🎨🪑

This collective adventure was made possible thanks to Bravvo, several local associations, and of course the residents of the social housing blocks who shaped the project with us. 🙌

Il y a 5 ans, nous avons uni nos forces dans les Marolles (Bruxelles) pour le projet Dardaar — un bel exemple de participation en action. ✨

Plutôt que de simplement parler d’idées pour le quartier, nous avons mis la main à la pâte : peinture sur les murs et le sol, plantation d’arbres, construction de mobilier urbain, ensemble. 🌿🎨🪑

Cette aventure collective a été rendue possible grâce à Bravvo, plusieurs associations locales, et bien sûr les habitants des logements sociaux qui ont co-construit le projet avec nous. 🙌

Vijf jaar geleden bundelden we onze krachten in de Marollen (Brussel) voor het Dardaar-project — een prachtig voorbeeld van participatie in actie.
✨
In plaats van alleen te praten over ideeën voor de buurt, gingen we zelf aan de slag: muren en vloeren schilderen, bomen planten en samen stedelijk meubilair bouwen. 🌿🎨🪑

Dit gezamenlijke avontuur werd mogelijk gemaakt dankzij Bravvo, verschillende lokale verenigingen en natuurlijk de bewoners van de sociale woonblokken die het project samen met ons vormgaven. 🙌
