🚨 Can you really tell the difference between a real video and one generated by AI?

Deepfakes are blurring the line between truth and fiction — threatening democracy, privacy, and human rights in ways we’re only beginning to understand. The EU is now stepping in, and the conversation is just getting started.

👉 Whether you already work in the field of privacy and digital rights or you simply want to understand what’s really going on, join our upcoming webinar to explore the topic in depth!

Webinar ArtificialIntelligence Disinformation

What if the video you just watched never happened?
Deepfakes (AI-generated media that looks, sounds and feels real) are already being used to spread disinformation in conflict zones, silence minorities, and target ordinary people without their consent.
And even when a deepfake is debunked, the doubt it creates doesn’t disappear. That’s called the Liar’s Dividend. And it’s changing the way we experience truth.
This month, we’re exploring what happens when AI meets human rights, and who pays the price when it does.
Swipe through. Did any of this surprise you? 👁️

Who gets to speak? Who gets heard? And who is still missing from the table? 🗣️

Through “Voices from the Peripheries”, the Human Rights Cafè created space to challenge narratives and amplify voices too often overlooked. ☕️

To every participant: thank you for your honesty, your courage, and your willingness to engage. This space exists because of you. ✨

To every team leader: thank you for your work, your dedication and your passion. Without each of you this would still be an idea in a drawer (or rather an email inbox). 💌

To every volunteer: thanks again for you participation, your engagement and your help in the organization of this event. Each one of you was fundamental for the success of these events and we are super proud of this team. 💪🏻

As this transnational chapter closes, the responsibility continues, with all of us. 👥

Listen deeper. Speak louder.

New article alert!🌍
Check out our blog to read 's new article "Restrictions on the Right to Protest in Switzerland: a Deterrence Mechanism".

Protesting has long been one of the most powerful ways for people to defend and advance
human rights, bringing together individuals from different backgrounds in pursuit of shared
justice and goals. However, in recent years, the rise of authoritarian tendencies and increasing legal restrictions have made it more difficult for
people to exercise this fundamental right. Check out our new article to find out more about the situation in Switzerland. 🇨🇭✊️
