Baby’s choose where and when they want to be born (if we tune in and listen to them) 🥰

Birth just happens. 🙏🏽 In dit geval in het washok in het huis van haar ouders... De mama ging er vanuit dat de bevalling wel even zou duren. Dus brachten ze onderweg naar het ziekenhuis eerst hun zoontje naar haar ouders. En, nou ja, toen ze daar toch waren kwamen ze ook even binnen zodat hun zoontje wat tijd had om te wennen.

En toen kwam de baby... Naar de aarde begeleid door zijn vader en oma die nog heel efficiënt de omstrengelde navelstreng loswikkelde toen het hoofdje werd geboren... Wat een power en tegenwoordigheid van geest.

Het lijkt een noodsituatie, want ze wilden in het ziekenhuis zijn. Maar is het niet eigenlijk heel geruststellend? Die geboorte gebeurt gewoon. Waar en hoe kun je niet bedenken. Als het eenmaal zover is dan is het allerbeste en allerveiligste wat je kunt doen naar je lichaam luisteren en je eraan overgeven. 🙏🏽❤️

10 Redenen waarom een doula een meerwaarde is! Bevallen met een doula, het is een fenomeen dat afkomstig is uit Amerika, maar ook hier in België zie je het meer en meer verschijnen. Wat is het, waarom is het er én hoe verloopt het in de praktijk?

It’s been awhile 😅.
We’re still alive, kicking and thriving.

Zen (the bloody one on the picture, duh 😂) was born on the 5th of January.
And to summaries his birth -> amazing 🤩!
Got the home birth I longed and prepared for 🥳.

Other quick updates:
- Just attended an empowering and amazing home birth as a doula 🥰
- As of today you can book me for baby welcoming ceremonies
- I’m focusing more on being offline

Biggest change after my 2d pregnancy and birth:
- I’m now so in love with the pregnancy journey
- Would love to experience the magic of a home birth again
- Ready to have more kids of my own, but not planning to have more at the moment
- Enjoying the baby stage much more than with my first.
- Giving birth now feels almost like an addiction and drug. Yes, giving birth can be amazing and such an amazing trip if you let go and prepare mentally.
