The fifth edition of the Convergence seminar is in the books! Two and a half days of lectures, interdisciplinary performances, custom instruments, new technologies, feedback loops, musical robots, and hybrid environments. Huge thanks to everyone who made it possible!

During the NextDoors week our researchers engaged the students of Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen with workshops on music, technology, and theater:
* Umut Eldem , Sara Simionato , and Giusy Caruso - Pianist & Artist Researcher introduced music students to co-creative practices with Somax2 from
* Furkan Ak & Davide Paolillo created a performance where sound, text, and embodied action meet in unstable terrain.
* Nicolas Kummert explored how sensor data of dancers' movements can be used to augment a musical performance

🌳Call for proposals - Convergence 2026🌳
The fifth edition of the Convergence seminar will focus on technological co-creation in interdisciplinary arts. Researchers, artists, and anyone currently engaging with this subject are invited to share their practices, experiences, and historical perspectives. Lectures, performances, workshops, and installations are welcome.
The seminar will take place on March 23rd and 24th 2026 at Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, Belgium.
