Announcing a new NYIOP AUDITION just for YOUNG AND EMERGING ARTISTS! @ Kunstuni Graz KUG 🎵🍀

You will get to audition for a distinct panel from Opera Houses, Opera Studios, and International Artist's Agencies.
For those of you who are new to NYIOP's model, it is unique in that you get to sing in ONE location for MANY different INTERNATIONAL presenters at once!
***The value of this NYIOP audition is well over 10,000Euros, in saved transportation and lodging costs!
AUSTRIAN-BASED SINGERS will have registration priority until 23 March!
After 23rd March, internationally based singers will be registered.
SPACES ARE LIMITED SO REGISTER NOW!
Once spaces are filled, registration will CLOSE.

So proud of my student, Nathalie Mittelbach, for her "extraordinary" debut as Octavian in Bremen!:
"Die Leidenschaftlichkeit zu Beginn des ersten Aktes zeigt sich heftig erotisch – genau so, wie die Musik komponiert wurde und hier auch klingt. Gleich mit den ersten Tönen „Wie du warst! Wie du bist!“ singt sich Nathalie Mittelbach als Octavian in die Herzen. Diese samtig-edle Klangfülle, diese bis ins Detail ausgereifte Technik, die ihr eine Ausgestaltung erlaubt, die an Intensität, Klangschönheit, üppig strömender Wärme und klangvoller Leichtigkeit nichts zu wünschen übriglässt, erscheint geradezu überirdisch. Bravissima! Und das liegt nicht nur daran, dass der Octavian von der Regie klassisch gezeichnet und nicht gegen den Strich gebürstet wurde.:"

" Nathalie Mittelbach as Octavian, sings into our hearts. This velvety-rich sonority, this perfected technique, which allows her a configuration that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of intensity, beauty of sound, lush flowing warmth and vibrant lightness, seems almost supernatural. Bravissima! And that's not just because the Octavian was classically drawn by the director and not brushed against the grain as much as the other characters."

Tonight is the night! After 8 months of planning, and weeks intensive and incredibly fun rehearsals -
DREAMS VS. REALITY is going to BE reality!
TONIGHT at 7:30 in Theater im Palais in Graz, Austria.
Joining me onstage tonight to celebrate my INNAUGURAL CONCERT the Kunst Uni Graz, are:
Extraordinary pianists Stacey Bartsch and Robert Heimann, on Tom Cipullo and Debussy's music;
my long-time guitarist and duo partner, the unparalleled
Dan Lippel on music by De Falla, Gilbert, Hakenberg and Theodorakis;
a killer band on our Kurt Weill set featuring our original arrangements -
the inimitable Nick Mancini on Vibes and percussion, Dan Lippel on Guitars, Andreas Liebminger on Bass, Andrej Kos on Accordion, Kevin Van Den Elzen on drums;
and actors from the Kunst Uni Graz Drama department.

Thank you to Maestro Ivo Venkov, and pianist Adriaan Jacobs at the Royal Conservatory Antwerp for making a week of voice lessons possible for my students and the many observers. I was so moved by the singers' concentration, their willingness to hear the truth about the real mechanics of the singing voice, and was flabbergasted at the technical breakthroughs they all made. I'm so proud of all of you singers, and am so grateful to be a part of your journeys!
