Our department’s study tour to Tajhat Palace was successfully completed yesterday. The visit proved to be both educational and enjoyable. Thanks to all teachers and students for their cooperation.

NOTICE

This is to notify all the students of the Department of English that a study tour has been arranged as part of the academic programme. Attendance is compulsory for all students.

Place: Tajhat Palace, Rangpur
Date: January 30
Tour Fee: BDT 1,200 (one thousand two hundred only)

Students are requested to submit the tour fee to the following representatives according to their respective years:

First Year: Mahfuz, Mishu
Second Year: Raisa, Nahid
Third Year: Sifat, Bonna
Fourth Year: Tonni, Himel, Hasan

It is hereby notified that all Honours classes will remain suspended from January 27 to February 8 due to the Half-Yearly Examination of the Higher Secondary First Year.

সরকারি আকবর আলী কলেজ পিঠা উৎসবে ইংরেজি বিভাগ দ্বিতীয় স্থান অধিকার করেছে। এ উপলক্ষে বিভাগের সম্মানিত শিক্ষকবৃন্দ ও সকল শিক্ষার্থীকে আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও অভিনন্দন।
নিজেদের পরিশ্রমের মাধ্যমে বিভাগের জন্য এই সুনাম বয়ে আনার জন্য আমাদের বিভাগের আয়োজনে নিয়োজিত সকল শিক্ষার্থীকে বিশেষ ধন্যবাদ।
এছাড়াও পিঠা উৎসব আয়োজনের জন্য সন্মানিত অধ্যক্ষ স্যার Nurul Alam , উপাধ্যক্ষ স্যার এবং পিঠা উৎসব আয়োজন কমিটির সম্মানিত স্যারদের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করছি।

ইংরেজি বিভাগের সকল ছাত্রছাত্রীকে অবগত করা যাচ্ছে যে আগামী ২০ জানুয়ারি (মঙ্গলবার) সরকারি আকবর আলী কলেজ প্রাঙ্গণে পিঠা উৎসব অনুষ্ঠিত হবে, যেখানে ইংরেজি বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে একটি স্টল স্থাপন করা হবে।
ইচ্ছুক শিক্ষার্থীরা নিজেদের প্রস্তুত করা পিঠা প্রদর্শন ও বিক্রির সুযোগ পাবে।

আগ্রহী শিক্ষার্থীদের আগামী রবিবার জনাব কৌশিক দাস, প্রভাষক, ইংরেজি বিভাগ–এর সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করতে বলা হলো।

The students of the Department of English organized a splendid programme to commemorate the promotion of our esteemed Head of the Department, Md. Rahat-al-Sharif, to the position of Associate Professor. We express our profound gratitude to the Chief Guest, Principal of Govt. Akbar Ali College, Prof. Md. Nurul Alam; the Special Guest, Vice Principal of Govt. Akbar Ali College, Prof. Md. Monjur Morshed Bhuiyan; and all respected teachers for gracing the occasion with their presence.

It is hereby notified that all Honours classes after 11:15 a.m. will be suspended on January 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 15, 19, 20, and 22.
