The Department of Law, Uttara University successfully conducted an educational court visit to the Tangail District and Sessions Judge’s Court on 13.05.2026 (Wednesday), offering students an invaluable opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to courtroom proceedings and judicial practices.

The Department was honored by the presence of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐲𝐞𝐝𝐚 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐳𝐚 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧, Dean of the School of Arts and Social Science and Professor of Law, along with the respected faculty members of the Department.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Senior District and Session Judge, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐇𝐚𝐟𝐢𝐳𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧 for his valuable guidance and warm hospitality. Special appreciation is extended to 𝐌𝐫. Uttara University is delighted to announce that a team of its law students successfully participated in the Asia-Pacific Regional Round of 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐌𝐋𝐒𝐋𝐌𝐂𝐂) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, held at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), India, after qualifying through the highly competitive Written Memorial Selection Round.

The team members were:

The team demonstrated commendable dedication, research excellence, and advocacy skills throughout the competition. Although they narrowly missed advancing to the semi-finals after a fierce contest, their performance remains a matter of great pride for the University.

The team was coached by 𝐌𝐝. 𝐍𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧, Assistant Professor of Law and Moderator of the Uttara University Moot Court Society.

The Department of Law, Uttara University is pleased to share that the online workshop “Mendeley for Researchers: Organize, Cite & Collaborate” was successfully conducted on 02.04.2026 via Google Meet. The session was conducted by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐤 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, and was graced by the presence of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐲𝐞𝐝𝐚 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐳𝐚 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧, Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences, Uttara University along with faculty members of the Department of Law, students, and research enthusiasts. Participants engaged in an insightful, hands-on session where they learned to organize research materials, manage citations efficiently, and collaborate using Mendeley’s powerful features.
