Faculty of Engineering, MBSTU is going to organize ICEFronT-2026 on 25-26 June, 2026.

Teacher's role in a student’s life goes beyond providing a great education in the classroom; however, they are leader, role model, coach, advisor and facilitator of positive growth for the students. Since students spend so much of their time in classroom, a positive and inspiring environment ensures fresh mindset and memories for all. Keeping the concept in mind, on 15/01/2026 the Department of Mechanical Engineering arranged a day long outing event with the teacher, students, officer and staffs. Playing football and cricket, gossiping, cooking and finally eating together made the event a successful one.
Special thanks to the students for their great effort.

Yes, it was basically an international technical seminar on 'Artificial Intelligence in Medical Robotics: Bangladesh Perspectives' which particularly focused on artificial intelligence with robotic systems to enhance healthcare through greater precision, efficiency, and personalization in areas like surgery, diagnostics, rehabilitation, and patient care. It was the first academic seminar in the department and everybody participated effectively. All the respected guests, students, resource persons and distinguished speakers were present in the occasion and made the seminar successful.
Four textbooks written under the ODA project were distributed to all the students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, MBSTU.
Hon'ble VC of MBSTU along with the Dean, Faculty of Engineering and others inaugurated the seminar library and Centre for Advanced Automotive Research (CAAR) of the department. CAAR is established under the capacity of the ongoing ODA project between South Korean and MBSTU for strengthing modern and advanced research facilities in automotive fields in Bangladesh.

MEFC-2025 ended up successfully with an exciting and competitive final match between Redoubtable vs. FC Mechanox. FC Mechanox win the match in 2-0 score. Prof. Dr. Md. Iqbal Mahmud, Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering, MBSTU; Engr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Chairman, and Engr. Sumon, Assistant Manager, Vvon Technologies Limited were present in the field and watch the whole game. At the end of the game, price giving ceremony arranged. Vvon Technologies Limited was the official sponsor of the tournament.

Team jersey and championship trophy unveiling program of the upcoming MEFC-2025 is arranged successfully at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, MBSTU. Chairman of the department Prof. Dr. Md. Iqbal Mahmud and the representatives from Vvon Technologies Limited were present in the occasion. Vvon Technologies Limited is working as the official sponsor of the MEFC-2025.
