RTM University - Department of English

As part a student-led research initiative, BA (Honours) in English students (Level 4/1 & 4/2) recently visited Daldali Tea Garden in Sylhet.
Supervised by S.A.M. Thahmid , the team conducted firsthand interviews and observations to document the lives, culture, and socio-economic struggles of the tea workers.
Their impactful fieldwork culminated in a research report and an interactive campus seminar held on 11 May 2026, titled “The Sound of Crying on the Mountainside: Life & Struggles of Daldali Tea Garden Workers.”
