🚨 **Call for Application | MSc in Data Science (Professional) | SUST**

The Department of Statistics, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), in collaboration with the Departments of CSE and Mathematics, is inviting applications for the **MSc in Data Science (Professional)** program for the **2025–2026 session (2nd Batch)**.

This interdisciplinary program is designed to develop strong analytical, statistical, and computational skills, preparing graduates to excel in today’s data-driven world.

🔹 **Program Overview**
• Duration: 1 year (2 semesters)
• Each Semester: 6 months
• Total Credits: 40
• Seats Available: 40

🔹 **Class Schedule & Fees**
• Classes: Monday & Wednesday (6:00–9:00 PM) + Weekend (Friday & Saturday)
• Program Fee: BDT 70,000 (for two semesters)
• Registration Fee: BDT 6,000 (approx.)
• Credit Fee: BDT 6,000 (approx.)

🔹 **Eligibility Criteria**
• Bachelor’s degree (3 or 4 years) in any discipline
• Minimum CGPA 3.00 out of 4.00 (or equivalent)
• Basic foundation in Mathematics and programming
• Science background in SSC & HSC required
• Final-year students can apply with appearing certificate

🔹 **Selection Process**
• Written/MCQ exam (Basic Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Fundamentals) – 80 marks
• Viva – 10 marks
• Bachelor’s CGPA – 10 marks

Dr. Md. Mostafa Kamal Sarker is a renowned AI research scientist whose work is transforming healthcare through cutting-edge technology. He leads the AI Research Unit at Technovative Solutions Limited and serves as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford’s Institute of Biomedical Engineering.

Dr. Sarker completed his undergraduate studies in Physics at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), where his passion for data and innovation began. His expertise spans computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning, with significant contributions to clinical AI, health informatics, biomedical imaging, and digital healthcare. He has authored nearly 40 peer-reviewed publications and is widely recognized for his impactful research and leadership in the AI community.
