Statement from Rabindra University Debating Society In Solidarity with Palestine

We categorically denounce Israel's genocidal actions against the Palestinian people. The atrocities being committed are not merely acts of violence, but a calculated and systematic campaign of cleansing and dehumanization. The ongoing massacre of innocent civilians, the destruction of homes, and the targeted oppression of an entire population are not only a violation of international law but an affront to humanity itself.

Israel’s blatant disregard for human rights, its relentless expansion of illegal settlements, and its massacre of children, women, and the elderly is nothing short of a war crime. We refuse to remain silent while such horrors unfold.

We call on the international community to immediately impose sanctions on Israel, hold its leaders accountable for their actions, and take decisive steps to end the occupation. The time for empty statements is over—Israel must be held accountable for its crimes against humanity, and the Palestinian people must be granted their inalienable right to freedom, justice, and self-determination.

২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি, ভাষার তাগিদে যে আত্মা নীরবে অগ্নিতে পুড়ে যায়, তাদের প্রতি আজকের শ্রদ্ধা অম্লান। সেই দিনটি, যেদিন শব্দের সন্ত্রাসী নিঃশব্দে বুক চিতিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে বলেছিল, 'আমি বাংলা, আমি বাঁচবো!' তাদের প্রতি আমাদের শ্রদ্ধা কেবল স্মরণ নয়, প্রতিটি শব্দে প্রতিবাদ। এ দিনটি শুধু শোকের নয়, আমাদের চিরকাল অশ্রুত প্রতিবাদের এক প্রবাদ।বক্তৃতা নয়, এটা এক দাবি—ভাষা, আমাদের অধিকার, আমাদের অস্তিত্ব।রবীন্দ্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ডিবেটিং সোসাইটির পক্ষ থেকে,
