What Is Voice in English? Who did the action? Or... did the action happen to them? 🤔🔁

Voice isn't about speaking loud or soft—it's about the relationship between the subject and the verb.

In this video, we master the two types:

1️⃣ Active Voice (The Doer): The subject does the action.

Example: "The teacher explained the lesson." (Clear and direct). 2️⃣ Passive Voice (The Receiver): The subject receives the action.

Example: "The lesson was explained by the teacher." (Focus is on the lesson).

📝 The Formula for Passive Voice: Use the verb BE + Past Participle (e.g., was made, is done, will be delivered).

💡 When to use Passive: When the doer is unknown or not important (e.g., "The window was broken").

Do you struggle to explain when something happened? That is exactly what Tenses are for. They help us communicate with accuracy and tell clear stories.

In this lesson, we simplify tenses into 3 main times:

1️⃣ Present (Now/Regularly):

Simple: "She studies every day." (A habit)

Continuous: "She is studying now." (Happening right this second)

2️⃣ Past (Before Now):

Simple: "She studied yesterday." (Finished)

Continuous: "She was studying when I called." (In progress in the past)

3️⃣ Future (After Now):

Simple: "She will study tonight." (Happening later)

Continuous: "She will be studying at 8 PM." (Ongoing in the future)

💡 The Golden Rule: To pick the right tense, just ask yourself: "When does the action happen? Now, before now, or after now?"
