📢 The Department of Civil Engineering, BAUST successfully organized a seminar titled “Earthquake Risk Scenario: Bangladesh Perspective, BNBC-2020 and Mitigation Measures” on 20 May 2026 at the BAUST Seminar Hall, associated with IQAC, BAUST.

This significant academic event highlighted the importance of earthquake preparedness, mitigation strategies, and the implementation of BNBC-2020 in Bangladesh. During the session, the 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫 provided valuable directions regarding student counselling, motivation, academic mentoring, and effective strategies for further departmental improvement. His insightful guidance and continuous encouragement have inspired the department to work more dedicatedly towards academic excellence and student success.

The 𝐈𝐂𝐓 faculty members have been working tirelessly over the past few days to analyze student performance, identify challenges, and formulate improvement strategies. Alhamdulillah, the department has already observed positive outcomes, and the faculty members are highly encouraged and motivated by the constructive feedback and appreciation received during the meeting.

The Department of 𝐈𝐂𝐓 remains committed to continuous improvement, student development, and maintaining quality education through proper mentoring, monitoring, and outcome-based academic practices.

The session focused on evaluating student performance across all batches, identifying academic trends, and assessing overall learning outcomes. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is made between the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) and the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Saidpur, with the aim of promoting academic cooperation, professional development, and mutual collaboration.
ICSB is a statutory professional body established under the Chartered Secretaries Act 2010, mandated to develop and regulate the profession of Chartered Secretaries in Bangladesh.

We are pleased to announce a significant new initiative of Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST) the establishment of the BAUST Consultancy and Testing Centre (BCTC). This newly introduced centre aims to expand BAUST’s academic, research, consultancy, and testing capabilities, strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and society.

A presentation on the BAUST Consultancy and Testing Centre (BCTC) was delivered by the Director, IQAC, Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Choudhury, in the presence of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor and respected faculty members of BAUST. The event highlighted the objectives, services, and future prospects of BCTC and its role in enhancing professional consultancy services, laboratory testing facilities, and research opportunities.

The establishment of BCTC marks an important milestone for BAUST as it moves forward toward academic excellence, research innovation, and industry collaboration.

IQAC, BAUST expresses sincere gratitude to the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, respected faculty members, and all concerned for their support and participation in this important initiative.
