Ahammad Uddin Shah Shishu Niketan School & College, Gaibandha Proud of Gaibandha ‘Shishu Niketan’ is a kinder garten type of school was started in the local Govt.

Mahila College on January 24, 1982 by some education-loving elite of Gaibandha town. The school was transferred to Godown Road of the town on a land donated by Shahjada Anwarul Quadir and the school was renamed as ‘Ahammad Uddin Shah Shishu Niketan School’ after the name of the donor’s deceased father in 1985. It took part for the first time in 1987 in the Primary Scholarship Examination and since then it has been bagging almost 100% scholarship from the Talent pool and General quota of Sadar Upazilla. The institution was gradually upgraded to Junior, Secondary and Higher Secondary in 1999 and 2002 respectively. And then it was named as ‘Ahammad Uddin Shahi Shidhu Niketan School and College, Gaibandha’. By its academic achievement it has earned a covetable position in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dinajpur. Now about 2600 students from Pre-Primary to HSC level read in this institution and they are housed in modern multi-storied buildings. It plays a vital part and by this time earned reputation for the spread of education in the northern part of the country. It is managed by a Board of Trustees and run by a Special Category Governing Body.
