Anti-Social Activities of the Teen Gangs
Staff Reporter | Narayanganj, 03 August 2026: The rise of teen gangs has become a matter of great concern in many areas of Narayanganj. These groups of teenagers are increasingly involved in various anti-social activities, creating fear and insecurity among local residents.

According to local people, many gang members are school and college students. They often spend their time roaming around the streets instead of attending classes. They are involved in bullying, eve-teasing, drug abuse, vandalism, illegal bike racing, extortion, and violent clashes. Sometimes they use social media to threaten or harass others.

Parents, teachers, and social workers believe that lack of parental supervision, moral degradation, misuse of smartphones, addiction to social media, and the influence of violent online content are some of the major causes of this problem.

The local administration has already taken several steps to control these activities. Police have increased patrols, and educational institutions are organizing awareness programmes. However, experts believe that stronger cooperation among parents, teachers, law enforcement agencies, and community leaders is essential to solve this problem.

Teenagers should be encouraged to participate in sports, cultural activities, and community services instead of becoming involved in criminal activities. Public awareness and proper guidance can help build a safer society free from teen gangs.

But you want to continue your study till H.S.C examination in Narayangonj. Now, write an application to the principal of your college requesting him to sanction you a seat in the college hostel.

Sir,
With due respect, I beg to state that I am a student of Class XII of your college. My father, who is a government employee, has recently been transferred to Cumilla. As a result, my whole family is going to shift there within a few days.
My H.S.C. Examination is very near. At this stage, changing my college would seriously hamper my studies and preparation for the examination. Therefore, I want to continue my studies in this college until the completion of my H.S.C. Examination. But it will not be possible for me to travel daily from Cumilla to Narayanganj. So, I need accommodation in the college hostel.

I, therefore, earnestly request you to sanction me a seat in the college hostel so that I can continue my studies without any interruption. I shall remain ever grateful to you for your kind consideration.
