The Cosquer Cave in Marseille, France, lies 37 meters below sea level, with its entrance entirely underwater. But in prehistoric times, the sea level was much lower, making it easily accessible!
Inside, there are 600 artworks—horses, bison, seals, and even human handprints. These date back to the Upper Paleolithic era!
Access is strictly limited to researchers to protect these fragile treasures.

📸 **Did you know? Joseph Nicéphore Niépce, the Father of Photography, made history with his invention!**
In 1826, Niépce captured the world's first permanent photograph, a breakthrough known as the **heliograph** or **bitumen print**. His iconic image, "View from the Window at Le Gras," took **8 hours** to expose! It was the first time that light was used to capture a moment in time.
His partnership with Louis Daguerre later led to the invention of the **daguerreotype**, one of the first successful photographic processes.
