Honorable member of the Sonargaon University (SU) Trust, Mr. Md. Shamim Mahbub Bhuiyan, passed away today, 15th November 2024 (30th Kartik 1431 in the Bengali calendar) at 1:51 PM while undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailments at Azgar Ali Hospital (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un, meaning: Surely we belong to Allah, and to Him, we shall return).

We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. May Allah grant them the strength to bear this loss.

We are happy to have successfully hosted the Grand Felicitation event for our exceptional National Women’s Cricket Team players! 🇧🇩🏏 Their dedication, skill, and give have not only made us proud but also inspired countless individuals across the nation.

A team from Sonargaon University Moot Court Society- SUMCS attended the 5th Jessup Workshop titled 'MAY IT PLEASE THE COURT: Unlocking the Essentials of Mooting and Advocacy' organized by Jessup Bangladesh and International Law Students Association (ILSA), in collaboration with Hearth Bangladesh, BRAC University, School of Law, the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (DOJ-OPDAT), in BRAC University.

The First Preliminary Selection Round of the BIAC International Inter-University Arbitration Contest 2024 was held on 30.10.2024 at Sonargaon University. The session was conducted by faculty members from the Department of Law at Sonargaon University.
