💻 Md. Saifur Rahman (Dipu): The Mentor Behind BUBT's Programming Excellence
With 23+ years of teaching experience, Md. Saifur Rahman (Dipu), Assistant Professor of CSE at BUBT, is widely recognized as one of the leading figures in Bangladesh's competitive programming landscape.
As a former CSE Chairman and multiple-term ICPC Regional Director, he has dedicated decades to nurturing talent, advancing academic excellence, and inspiring innovation. Under his guidance, BUBT achieved remarkable success in the ICPC Dhaka Regional, securing the top position among private universities. His mentorship also led BUBT to an outstanding 6th-place finish among 160 teams at the ICPC Asia Amritapuri Regional Contest in 2018, demonstrating the university's ability to compete with the best teams in Asia.
Beyond campus, he played a key role in successfully organizing the prestigious ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional in 2014, 2021, 2023, and 2025, helping strengthen Bangladesh's position in the global competitive programming community.
From mentoring students through countless hours of training to fostering research and innovation, Dipu Sir continues to shape the next generation of engineers and problem-solvers. His legacy is reflected not only in achievements and rankings but also in the thousands of students he has inspired to dream bigger and reach higher.
