দুষ্টুমি করার জন্য মার কাছে বকা খেয়ে এক ছেলের খুব রাগ হল। দৌড়ে বাসা থেকে বেরিয়ে বাসার উল্টোদিকে টিলাটার চূঁড়ায় উঠে গেল এবং সেখান থেকে চেঁচিয়ে মাকে বলল, ‘আই হেইট ইউ, আই হেইট ইউ। যেহেতু জায়গাটা ফাঁকা, প্রতিধ্বনি হল ‘আই হেইট ইউ, আই হেইট ইউ।’ ছেলেটি আগে কখনও প্রতিধ্বনি শোনেনি। ভয় পেয়ে গেল। এক দৌড়ে মার কাছে ফিরে গিয়ে বলল, ‘জান মা, ওই পাহাড়ে না একটা দুষ্ট লোক আছে। আমাকে বলল, আই হেইট ইউ।’
মা ব্যাপারটা বুঝে ফেলল। ছেলেকে বলল, তুমি আবার ওই পাহাড়ে যাও। এবার বল, ‘আই লাভ ইউ।’ ছেলেটি আবার দৌড়ে টিলার উপর উঠে গিয়ে তাই করলো। এবার প্রতিধ্বনি' ফেরত এলো, ‘আই লাভ ইউ! ‘আই লাভ ইউ!’
এই ছোট্ট ঘটনাটি এই ছোট্ট ছেলেটিকে সারাজীবনের জন্য একটি জিনিস শিখিয়ে দিলঃ জীবন হল প্রতিধ্বনির মত। আমরা যা দেবো জীবন আমাদের তাই ফেরত দেবে। ভালবাসা দিলে ভালবাসা আর ঘৃণা দিলে ঘৃণা।
সারাদিন, সর্বক্ষণ আপনি যদি অন্যের সমালোচনায় ব্যস্ত থাকেন, অন্যের দোষ-ত্রুটি খোঁজায় ব্যস্ত থাকেন এবং অন্যদের ভালো কোন দিকই দেখতে না পান, তাহলে অন্যরা কি করবে জানেন? একদম ঠিক ধরেছেন, অন্যরাও সারাদিন ধরে আপনি যা যা করেছেন আপনাকে নিয়েও তাই তাই করবে। আর আপনি যদি এর উল্টোটা করতে পারেন, অর্থাৎ অন্যদের ভালো দিকটি নিয়ে ভাবতে পারেন, বলতে পারেন, তখন অন্যরাও সেটাই করবে আপনাকে নিয়ে। প্রকৃতি এভাবেই ইথারে নেগেটিভিটি এবং পজিটিভিটির সাম্যতা বজায় রাখে। আপনি কোনটি করবেন সেই সিদ্ধান্ত আপনার। ভালো থাকুন, ভালো রাখুন সবাইকে!

একটি সতর্কতা মূলক পোস্ট....

16 বছরের একটি ছেলে সম্প্রতি মারা গেছে। তিনি এবং তাঁর ভাই একই ঘরে ঘুমাচ্ছিলেন।

গভীর রাতে তার বমি পেয়ে উঠল। তার ভাই বলেছিলেন যে তিনি তার হাতটি তার মুখের কাছে ধরে বাথরুমে গিয়েছিলেন।
বমি করার পরে শ্বাস নিতে অসুবিধার অভিযোগ করেন তিনি। পরে মারা যান।
.... এখন ডাক্তার ঘোষণা করেছেন যে তিনি বিছানা বা গালিচা নষ্ট না করার জন্য টয়লেটে পৌঁছা পর্যন্ত তিনি তার বমি ধরে রেখেছিলেন, এবং এটাই তাকে দম বন্ধ করেছিল। বমিটি সরাসরি তার বাতাসের পাইপ এবং শ্বাস প্রশ্বাসের ট্র্যাকের মধ্যে চলে যায়।
.... সুতরাং, আমাদের উচিত বাচ্চাদের যেখানে বমি লাগে সেখানে করতে দেওয়া। বাথরুমে না পৌঁছানো পর্যন্ত আমাদের কখনই তাদের বমি ধরে রাখতে বাধ্য করা উচিত নয়। কার্পেটটি সর্বদা ধুয়ে নেওয়া যাবে তবে আমরা কোনও শিশুকে ফিরে পেতে পারি না একবার শ্বাস বন্ধ হয়ে গেলে।
