Centrifugal Pump ⚙️💧

A centrifugal pump is one of the most widely used pumps in chemical and process industries. It uses a rotating impeller to convert mechanical energy into hydraulic energy, allowing liquids to be transported efficiently.

Key points:
• Working principle: Centrifugal force
• Main parts: Impeller, casing, shaft, suction & delivery pipes
• Energy conversion: Mechanical → Kinetic → Pressure energy
• Important parameters: Flow rate, head, efficiency and NPSH
• Common applications: Water supply, chemical processing, cooling systems, irrigation and wastewater treatment
• Important issue: Proper priming and prevention of cavitation are essential for efficient operation.
